Happy Birthday to Nosh superstar @michelleeast 🎂
This beauty has been working hard in the gym and kitchen! Programming from @colmcg1 and nutrition from @justine_brie ... Michelle is the rose between marital training disputes 😂 .
Michelle treated herself to the lowest body weight she has been in years for her bday! She’s so kind to herself 😜
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL
A huge effort and congratulations to our member/friend @djdub75 and his team for completing the Kokoda challenge. This is a 96km walk with some crazy elevation. Andy and his team managed to do this is 29 hours raising over $2000 for the Kokoda youth foundation
Join me in saying a big well done to Andy and his team.
Weightlifting is frustrating, guys. Actually, CrossFit is frustrating. But so is anything that you want in life. You have to be challenged or otherwise you’ll take it for granted and you’ll stop enjoying it because you’ll get bored.
Do you know how often I want to quit? Saturday I got mad and threw some plates around because I couldn’t hit a snatch weight that I’ve hit 252836 times. And I’ve been so focused on snatching so I feel like it’s been a giant fucking waste of time.
On some level I’m sure I’m improving, but not SEEING the results sucks. It’s still not a waste of time because I’m enjoying the process and it builds character.
So guess what.. if you’re trying to reach some goal, and you’re enjoying the process, then you’re in a good spot. If not, do something else. Change the goal if need be. Because the results, the PR’s and the glory are few and far between. 📸 @alexispphotography
🏋️♀️Reracking The Bar🏋️♀️ Have issues reracking the bar from overhead? This technique 1. Mostly uses legs to lower bar which will save your shoulders from tiring. 2. Minimizes distance the bar is free falling & 3. Is useful for moderate & HEAVY weight. Use same technique for back rack. Weight is 315.
TAG someone who might enjoy this!
Fun fact: In the short time since SugarWod and I partnered together to bring BCSC programming to the world by way of www.americanstrengthclub.com, we already have over 50 CrossFit gyms in the USA and 1 in England, another in Brazil and another in Thailand who subscribe to our programming. So each day the same workouts being done here in Lamar at BCSC are being done by CrossFit athletes all over the country and in other countries. Pretty cool how the coaching and programming in a small gym in Lamar MO can have such an impact on CrossFit gyms and powerlifters all over.
Want to see why so many gyms are loving the programming by American Strength Club? Go to the website now and start a free month for your gym or yourself.

@vmak23 has a max power snatch of 125lbs. Here she hit a high hang power double at 125lbs
Point 1: Yes, her max is probably over 125lbs for a regular power snatch now. But realistically this number is still going to be 90%+ of whatever her new max is
Point 2: We can’t overestimate the importance of the repeatability at high percentages. A once in a lifetime lift being used as your max is fine, but if you can’t hope to replicate it in competition then it’s meaningless
Strive to create realistic PRs, train until you can hit them multiple times, reap the rewards in competition
