Today, I am #thankful for so much.
In particular, I’m thankful for my coworkers. They made today a pretty awesome Boss’s Day. 🙌
And I’m thankful for fun #traditions . Growing up, we played cribbage with my momma all. the. time. I loved it! 😍 I hadn’t played in YEARS but, when my mom was here a couple weeks ago, we played and we taught Kaden how to play. He enjoyed it so much that he asked to play again tonight. ♦️ ♥️ ♠️ ♣️ Love this time with my biggest love. #fifteenone#fifteentwo#cribbage#cardgame#qualitytime#flowers#familytime
It’s been many years since my father passed and I’ve long since accepted that he’s just not a part of daily life. But every now and then something comes up—today it was finally getting Nyana to learn to play a proper game of crib—something small that hurts just that extra little bit to know George is missing out on. He’d be so tickled to know how close she came to winning today, and that she only lost because I enforce his favourite rule: dealer counts last.
An attempt at a multi layer cribbage board, this is made out of MDF, actual board would need to be actual wood. But turned out alright, tree trunk ended up being too deep unfortunately. #cncrouter#shapeoko3#makestuff#cribbage

Today’s #burntoctober prompt is “My Hometown”. Although I grew up in the Twin Cities, Duluth has always been a second home. My parents were both from here, we’ve had a cabin up here since I was a little kid, and I’ve been living here now for nearly 8 years. If you look on a map, it’s the place that Lake Superior points right to. The land of lakes, loons, and lots of local artists—which just so happens to be what I’m up to today. I’m up up the shore at @silvercreekco until 5pm for the first year of Makersfest, so stop on out!!! •••••
Thanks to @woodburncorner and @walnuthollow for sponsoring Burnt March. I love the (ever growing) wood burning community.
