What do you do to unwind and relax? 😍 Doodling is my meditation.
When I first bought my iPad last summer, I had no idea how much I would enjoy sketching out my thoughts and setting aside time to doodle each week. Most of my doodles never see the light of day—they aren’t meant to be shared and are my way of processing through my thoughts and emotions.
I love having a hobby that enables me to embrace my inner introvert and create for the sake of creating. I’d love to know what you do for self care and relaxation!

Hey guys! Just wanted to say Thanks for such an awesome day downtown @terrainspokane ‘s Bazaar! Feeling very loved as an artist & excited to keep making and growing and learning and, and....all the stuff. Ps why am I so sore? Smiling and sitting on a stool all day is harder than it looks hahaha! BUT, Seriously, I loved meeting all of you and putting names to faces I’ve seen on here. This hermit/artist really loves seeing people WANT to buy and wear things that Ive MADE! It’s a pretty great feeling guys. So thank you! ❤️😊 #hopeiammakingsense#ibetired#poolday#passtheadvil ANNND Thanks to @tobyrae for lifting all the heavy stuff, waking me up when I missed my alarm, getting me coffee, and being my stool buddy all day. Love you sweet friend 😘😘 😘
What a fun evening last night!
I am so thankful for all of my friends who got together at dinner last night. I am so glad we were finally able to connect in person!
I had such an amazing trip to #Chicago and I am so excited for the new things that are coming for #IndieLaw after working with @melishanahan of #VelocityWorks

Thank you for situations that force my faith to increase. Thank you for always being my most loyal confidant. Thank you for reminding me of the goodness that’s inside. Thank you for holding my heart & keeping it soft. Thank you for my strong back bone & sturdy feet to stand up for what I believe in. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for choosing me & chasing me, daily.
Instead of hopping on my phone this morning and spending way too much time looking at what other people are up to, I ran to the store to buy doughnuts and then started on this painting. It isn’t my typical start to a Sunday morning, but I think it needs to be highly considered as a replacement. (And also really attracted to pink these days. Didn’t see that coming!)
A little over a year ago I was here. Painting on my hotel patio in Bali.
The beaches were beautiful and I miss it often, but it was also a stressful time. I was at the bottom of my bank account, trying to hold on for dear life to an unstable freelance job that I didn’t like with no back up plan or idea what my next move would be.
A year later my life is far from perfect, but it’s also completely different and much more aligned with my heart.
A ton of privilege has helped me make the transition and get here: I’m currently living rent free, I’ve had a ton of support in all kinds of ways, I only have myself to worry about and I had a solid foundation of business skills that have been put to serious use ( just to name a few). And even still— it’s not an easy ride. I don’t think life is meant to be. Trying to turn what’s in your heart into your life’s work is equally as challenging as it is rewarding. It will show you all your biggest fears so that you can face them and grow stronger— a healing journey in one of its most intense forms. But I wouldn’t trade it.
All this to say is that you truly never know what’s around the corner (for better or for worse 🤷🏻♀️) and a lot can change in a year’s time. So much more than we tend to think. The biggest lesson I’ve learned (and am still learning) is to make peace with the unknown. Because this is also where we gain openness to possibility.
Practicing this for the year and years to come and, as always, on the canvas itself.
Last night I finally finished this new floral mandala. It’s definitely a new take on a mandala for me. What do you think?
We are having cloudy and a drizzly morning today so I think I’ll bundle up in a cozy blanket with a book this morning and later on get back to working on my “our planet, our future” piece.
Yesterday was #nationalpinkday and I can't believe I missed it! 😱 I'm not losing sleep over it or anything, and today I plan to do a whole lotta nothin', relaxing & horsing around with my little ladies. I mean it's #SundayFunday , right?! I need to tell myself to relax multiple times a day! 😜 I can attempt to tackle my never ending to-do list...tomorrow. Right??? 😭
BUT...in the effort to never miss out on these "important" national days again I'm going to design up a little fab, freebie calendar just for you. Together, we can all be on point with these random holidays!!🎉 While there is a website that has this info, my calendar will be way prettier. Pinky Promise. Raise your hand if you want first dibs! 🙋🏻
