A friend of mine is a crane mania. He knows who the operator is when he sees a crane on street. He subscribes a crane magazine even though he does not work in construction field. Today I understood why he loves cranes so much. It’s amazing to see how pros maneuver difficult situations like this. It’s a form of art!
Celebrating the homecoming of my baby boy was a very special time for me. He is a real champion in my eyes and I wanted this event to honor his strength. I started off with the concept of his name: Mohsen. It means powerful mountain. To survive against all opposition. So fitting for my little Momo! So there I had my first symbol: the mountain. The second symbol I chose was the crane. In Japan an old belief holds that if one makes 1000 paper cranes their sick will be healed. So we made 1000 paper cranes and we filled the ceiling with these! And finally, the lantern. “Light a lantern and watch your worries float away”, says an old adage. “Let its light shine on a path to prosperity!”
And so we built a little train, where Momo could have a magical ride, exploring mountains and meeting paper cranes, with bright lanterns to light the way!
A big thank you to my team and my partner in events, @noelleabughazaleh , who bear with me through all my falsafe and the amazing people we collaborated with to make this possible.
