It took 17 days, but I finally had a beer in the advent calendar from a brewery I’ve never heard of before. Black Forest is a chocolate cherry stout made with Ghirardelli dark chocolate from @atbbeerco in Chicago. I enjoyed all the toasty chocolate flavors on this beer, but I’ve been on a chocolate kick lately anyway. 🍫🍒🍻 I do also like that they put the different types of malt/hops on the can as well as some suggested food pairings. Very cool!
My so called #bestnine2018 No surprises it’s made up of 33% @verdantbrew and some @bleeckerburger as I’m also physically made up of the same ratios. Also some fresh as a daisy beers from @trilliumbrewing and @bissellbrothers from my East Coast trip a few months ago. Also looking forward to more @omnipollo pastry stouts in 2019. Cheers 2018!
@moksabrewing Moksa Brewing - Thirsty Eyes NE DIPA, Rocklin CA | This was 🔥🔥! Gotta love that citra galaxy combo. Super hoppy and dank with a touch of green but something about this hop combo that just gives me a beer boner! Had a good glowing haze to it and was ultra smooth, if you haven’t been into their hazies lately check this one out, think you definitely would dig this one!

Pours a deep hazy gold, not completely unfiltered but with a nice haze to it. Some head rises up, full and sticky, leaving layers of lace around the glass.
A nice balanced combination of sweet citrus, malt, and piney, resinous hops. A great array of flavors, none overpowering the other. Tinges of tropical fruit cut through any residual bitterness and keep the aromas in check.
A much more hop-forward flavor profile, dripping with resinous, piney hops but with a citrusy backbone that softens the blow of the predominant hops. Again, great balance.
Crisp yet smooth. Juicy, with a lightly sticky finish and medium carb.

Coconuts!!! Lervig has brewed a masterpiece with this one! Such amazing flavor in this stout, easily rivaling those well known stouts coming out of the US. Easily 4.5/5 You gotta think it's always stout season in Norway. @lervigbeer .

"Organic IPA" una IPA de 6,5% elaborada con maltas y lúpulos de cultivo ecológico por @cervezadougalls y probada de barril en @odeon_plaza_anticuario
Color bastante limpio sin ser cristalino. Buen gas. Bastante frutal en nariz. Tropical.
Boca fresca y amarga. Sabor medio-corto muy agradable. Cuerpo ligero y gas chispeante.
Amargor interesante sin ofender. Em general una IPA muy bebible con bastante fruta. Buena opción.

A Mexican hot chocolate inspired imperial stout.
It might be summer but I can't turn down a good stout, especially one from the crew at Stone Brewing.
The chocolate profile is the backbone of this brew with a spicy mix of cinnamon and nutmeg shining through and a little heat from the pasilla peppers to cut through the sweetness.
Word has it there are also two barrel aged versions of this beauty floating around with one of them being a sour.
The last Swedish beer, for a while anyway - I need to get back to Advent beers so prepare for a big catch-up over the next few days.
Anyways, I thought this beer was worth sharing because how often do you come across beer brewed with Saffron! The Swedes love a bit of saffron and it turns out they'll even put it in beer. Like liquid gold this had quite a sour taste that had a saffron hit in the background that made it very moreish - brewed by @brekeriet and was very nice to try something a little different! 🇸🇪👌🍻
Julius from Tree House. This was the last of my haul from last month and I was so sad to see it go. Another great beer from these guys with copious amounts of fruit on the nose and a nice smooth taste.
