Though my mind is elsewhere and with so many in the “Mess” of the campfire. I hear God still calling to make preparations as Advent is right around the corner. Thankful for so much, especially a Church body to live life with and to anticipate the coming King and to celebrate his birth. Through it all, we stand to always make room for him to come.
What this has to do with these timbers is the trip I took to my family farm to cut these as raw material for part of our Christmas display. It’s such a small thing but in small things we can point to the larger reason why we do what we do. Excited to craft these in that small expression. Thankful my family and I are visiting Chico tomorrow for the chance to be Jesus for people and just be present as an even larger expression.
When your adventuring party is out scouring the land for monsters, in search of guts, glory and gold, your bound to come across a cave or two... Always make sure someone or THING isn’t already living there before taking up shelter 😅 you never know when a Warg pack may be nestled down inside! This Paladin may be in over her head ☠️
Just finished the snuggle blanket. It's about 65" by 40". Great for keeping warm while reading or watching videos. Now to start the next project. Got some upcycle sewing to do. #crochet#yarn#cakeyarn#crafting
Big Mama in the kitchen. 🤤 Soul food is the best food. And don’t argue with her about that. 😂
It ain’t good if it don’t stick to the ribs, thighs, and butt. If it don’t put you to sleep, then it wasn’t cooked right. If you finish the entire plate in one sitting, then it’s not real soul food. Everyone knows you can’t eat an entire plate in one sitting. You’re suppose to wrap it up, put it in the microwave, dare somebody to touch your plate, and warm it up an hour or two later once you’ve “made room.” 😂
Process pics- 1. Joinery made designing the dodecahedron so easy (clementzheng.github.io/Joinery/) 2. The hard part was getting all of the pieces together. I didn’t get my settings quite right for laser cutting so the pieces didn’t fit together as well as they should have. Hot glue ended up being the answer to all my problems (when is hot glue not the answer)
Big Mama: Yup. Nice and cheesy like I like it.
Thank you to @dollsofkris for the tip on how to save myself from a weekend of crafting mini macaroni noodles. I picked up a tube of beads and got to painting and mixing! ❤️
Big Mama is now in the kitchen checking on her baked mac-n-cheese. This is always the first dish to go so she made sure to make an extra large pan of it this year. Especially since her daughter Camille is going through some type of crisis and invited half of the town over to grab a plate.
love last minute Thanksgiving decor!?! this DIY is super simple and cute!!
I didn’t absolutely love the results BUT know how to better recommend this project to you guys!! I used fake cloth leaves from the dollar store to mod podge onto the glass candle holders, when in reality, I should have cut out leaf shapes from tissue paper. Using cloth, these leaves didn’t want to stick too well to the glass & moved around a lot. Using paper would really bind them to the glass better and have a much prettier appearance. All together I definitely recommend this project to everyone because it’s so simple, cute, & low cost!! I think I might try this with greenery next 🤩💚
