90% of fabric remnants from my last finished sewing project (the notorious, mentally draining reversible dress - but that's a Story for another day) randomly layered and stuck onto a piece of 24" x 24" wallpaper sample.
The strips of fabric become denser and rougher with each layer of ModPodge, and it's amazing how vines-like they are.
Now debating whether I should frame it. Each fabric strip is a strand of memory from a particularly challenging sewing project. 🤔
🍍Meet Spike! He’s a baby pineapple plant 🌱 named by our perky tribe! To each year there are seasons but being that I live in San Diego and don't understand seasons and what they actually mean my year is divided into programs and fundraisers. In comes my three dollar purse organization system to make sure all receipts and monies stay separate. To those who know me, yes more bags in bags in bags.
I do love to document. As well as my #hobonichi I love to journal daily in my Traveler’s Notebook. I’m so excited to share a flip through of this soon if you are interested? Here is one of the pages. How cute is the peeking girl paperclip? I was also happy to finally find some monthly page tabs in the latest @stickykit 🤗 It has been hard to find ones small enough for my TN. Hope the day shines on you all. ☺️☀️🌸🌸✏️ Feel free to check out my lates blog post for more ideas on using Washi and stickers in your journals. 👍🏻
Sometimes my whole being runs off on a tangent of inspiration that my brain does not quite understand. It all started with a container of gilding flakes. I had used them in jewelry making but it was always such a tiny amount used and I had this huge container full...just calling my name. On a whim I grabbed a wine glass and mod podge and now I have an insane goblet of queen worthy proportions. It took me a few weeks to finish. I think it came out pretty well for completely winging it!
What do you guys think?
Another summer road trip is afoot! Or acar...? Either way, that means portable art projects! Keep your eyes peeled for some more embroidered pieces like these gems. All but the red mountain piece are sold, but hopefully there will be a few more in my Etsy soon (link in bio if you want to snap up Red Mountain!).
