Exciting news! I’m slowly building my blog and hopefully will have it up and running VERY soon! I’m also going to start an email mailing list so that I can start letting you guys know when I’ve created something new for my shop☺️ I’d love to be able to leave Etsy one day and have everything sold on my website buuuuut one step at a time!
Tell me something exciting in your life right now I’d love to hear about it!
Like always ⬆️link⬆️ for this booksleeve in my bio ❤️
Do you ever have one of those days where you make these great plans to get everything done ..and then one thing changes the rest of the day? Yep, that was today.
// Freya tripped on her feet and gashed her ear on the coffee table. So we spent literally all day at the hospital waiting to see if she needed stitches. Good news, she didn’t! They bandaged her up and said it should heal fine. I was so proud of her for being so brave and strong. 💕
// Here’s to a better (and more productive) day tomorrow! // oh and Ps. This is the roving I recently spun into yarn. I’ll share my finished yarn pic in a few days 😘
Hand knit blankets are fun. I used to think I could never do this because it was “too crafty” for me. But it was actually super easy. And it makes me so happy when my 5 year old drags it to bed with her because she wants to snuggle with the blanket mommy made. #domesticgoddess#knitting_is_love#handknitting
Today is Day 5 of the #CrafticChallenge and the prompt is Work in Progress! I was really looking forward to this prompt since I’ve been hoarding these petal shaped paint chips for weeks. I kept arranging, storing, and then taking them out again. I’ve decided to finally make this flower as a first step and even glued down the petals! The “grass” petals are just placed for effect... although maybe a garden scene on a large cardboard piece would be pretty cool. So many decisions! Btw, I found these petal chips at my local Home Depot and they have a nice selection of colors. 😉🌼🌺🌿
What am I up to? I’m not quite sure yet because this is my first time embroidering anything! In effort to expand my craft skills, I bought this hoop and set of thread from @thewasteshed and sketched out a little pattern inspired by buttercups/poppies?? Something nice and stereotypically floral on some scrap jeans. Even though I hate hand sewing and usually find it the most boring part of any sewing/knitting project, this is really fun—I like deciding the direction and layering of the stitches, it feels a lot like painting 🎨
Day 4 of #justacardweek is about sharing what's new.
With this venture, there are so many little new things for me, but the most interesting one is the addition of #veganyarn items to the #Etsyshop . Although the Merino Wool is amazing in so many ways, some people don't want to wear it or are allergic. The vegan yarn is easy to care for and comes in such vibrant colours 💚💜💛 Happy Summer Solstice 🌞
P.S. I know I'm talking about wool when it's Summer time! But Summer is a busy time designing and knitting lots for the coming winter.
