Depression (dəˈpreSH(ə)n): "An illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts and that affects the way a person eats, sleeps, feels about himself or herself, and thinks about things." Not to be confused with "being sad." Depression is a condition that must be treated, or else it can go on for days, months, or years. One in 15 adults are affected by depression each year. This condition can affect eating habits, sleep patterns, loss of interest, feeling worthless/guilty, difficulty concentrating, and even thoughts of suicide. Depression is also a symptom of borderline personality disorder. If you or a friend have any of these symptoms, please so not hesitate to ask for help. Even though it doesnt feel like it, your life is so precious and so full of meaning. You are loved more than you know.
This post is for all the people out there who use the words fake makeup and dupes interchangeably because that’s what they’ve heard from influencers who were probably unaware themselves that these are two completely separate things. I’ve tagged some drugstore brands and locations selling them! Let me know your favorite drugstore brand in the comments below!
O R I G I N A L:
Original makeup is the real deal. It’s the actual @maccosmetics lipstick, the actual @anastasiabeverlyhills palette. It’s something that you’re paying more for because you know the brand name is real and the quality is (should be) high.
F A K E M A K E U P:
Fake makeup is what the name states. Fake. Replicas are fake. Although many might look nearly identical to the original product and the quality might be too good to be true, a lot of fake makeup contains harmful ingredients. Many have been known to contain traces of feces (that’s POOP) and other dangerous chemicals. The real ingredients will never be listed because the packaging is just copied from the original makeup. Steer clear of fake makeup because you’re putting that on your face! You don’t want anything to happen to your face if you’re dedicating efforts to enhance your beauty. @kyliecosmetics had lots of replicas being sold which were making people’s lips stick together and swell up and what not. Only go with something if you really trust it. What works for someone else might not work for you.
D U P E S:
Money-savers! Dupes are makeup items that give you nearly the exact same result as a high-end makeup would. For example, instead of paying so much for an expensive mac lipstick, you find a drugstore one such as @soniakashuk one for wayyy cheaper instead. Dupes are still AUTHENTIC makeup, they are just cheaper alternatives because they are a different brand. Another example of a dupe would be the @makeuprevolution conceal & define concealer, which is supposedly a dupe for the infamous, yet expensive, @tarte shape tape concealer.
