Wrapped up the evening with pints, the pub’s music - Jupiter from Holst’s ‘The Planets’ - and an instant photo with strangers at Mr Fogg's Tavern.
As Mr Fogg travelled around the world in 80 days (in Jules Verne’s 1873 novel), we finally met up in London last month for the first time - after years of following a similar path of life.
On the highest terrace of a 100 year old mansion,
A magical thing happened that I can never imagine,
We arrived in a Classic car to the most alluring place,
A city stuck in time full of culture love and grace,
As we walked up the stair cases one by one,
I had no clue as to what had just begun,
Violinist and a bassist serenade us as we were seated,
To the most amazing place we were welcomed and greeted,
Candles roses and a breathtaking scene,
September 2018 the date fifteen,
I walked up to the beautiful black veranda,
To over look the city of Havana,
I turned around and there he was on one knee,
Expressed his love and asked, will you marry me?
Full of emotion in heels and a purple dress,
To the love of my life I finally said yes!
Think it’s safe to say, my heart is truly in Havana ❤️ We celebrated our engagement with our nearest and dearest 2 months on.. I cannot wait to marry you Mr Shah 🥰
