🌈You know it’s an incredible adventure when seeing a rainbow in front of the Rocky Mountains (behind a lake) is only one of the most magical moments of the trip.
I struggle with relinquishing control and handing my worries over to God, so it was incredibly fitting for us to see this rainbow the second day of our visit. I was so concerned leading up to our trip that we would be unable to see the mountains due to the smoke from the wildfires in British Columbia. To add to my nerves, the weather forecast for the week took a cold, rainy turn and rain was called for a majority of the day, every day. I invest a lot of effort in the research and planning phases of our trips; and unfortunately, the weather is out of my control, which is hard for me to accept. I had however researched standard temperatures and rainfall amounts for the region this time of year and the forecast was far from what we expected based on that information.
I finally made the cognitive decision to hand over my worries to God and make the most of our trip, regardless of the things out of my control. God responded in the way He so often does and not only answered our prayers, but exceeded them in every way. It’s funny how often times we think we know what’s best, only to later be surprised when God blesses us in ways we hadn’t even considered. That was the case for every aspect of this trip.
The smoke cleared just prior to our arrival, the rain we did have was brief (and provided this rainbow), we were able to see the fall foliage complete with blue skies and fall temps, and days later we were greeted by the first snowfall of the season (the highlight of our visit and something we hadn’t even thought possible this early in the season). It certainly served as a great reminder to let go of our worries and trust in God’s plan. His vision for our lives is FAR greater than our own and we are beyond grateful for how richly he has blessed our lives.
Last night was a ton of fun. Felt like we were just hanging out with friends, which, in a lot of ways was totally true. We ended the night skipping rocks across the lake and trying to hit logs floating on the water. The fall colors were beautiful, the weather was perfect, and these two brought the best vibes.
We shot this one alongside @orionpahl, one of the most talented & chill videographers we’ve ever been around. Hire him.
London calling 💂🏼♂️currently laying in a hotel bed trying to talk myself into getting ready for dinner. I’m excited and grateful to be in London. Thanks to my grandmother (& Ancestry.com) I recently discovered the majority of my family heritage is from in/around England & Scotland!
ENG| What a view🏔, what a feeling!
This was one of those moments where our world stood still for a couple of seconds! This view not only took away our breath but also made us realize how grateful we need to be for the lifestyle we’re able to live, all the travels we do and the experiences we create! 🙌🏽 What comes to your mind at the first if you see this view?
THIS 👇makes my ❤️heart FULL!
This is my Big Why and it is TRULY why I love what I do 😀! Below is a recent “anonymous” message from one of my badass couples who took the leap and joined our Master Communication & Intimacy e-course program ... and it truly warmed my heart today. 🔥The truth is that the real work comes from my dedicated couples who are determined to live in an awake and fully conscious relationship, as this takes determination and courage. But the reward will be 10x that of the effort in the long run.
I always lead with my ❤️ heart in everything that I create, so when couples send me messages like this it Lights up my entire day. And the coolest part about this message (aside from the celebration of Love & Connection being rekindled) is that they have only taken the very first module, in a 26 module course!
So truly amazing! ✊
This is what keeps my Engine going. I love when couples Win at Love and Thrive in long term partnership. After 10 years in private practice, I truly believe that having a foundation for communication & emotional intimacy is the key to having it ALL!
And that’s for all couples... not just couples who may be struggling. Our mission is to shift the paradigm so that couples are always enriching their relationship, not just when in dire situations.
This is a big shift and it’s happening! ✅ The key is to always Grow together!
#soGrateful to Serve our Community xo
All of you Relationship Revolutionaries are Awesome! ❤️ keep rocking!
Ps. 💫I have gotten permission to share this as well, as privacy is always top priority for me. 🙏
The beautiful (never-ending, crazy steep, building in every possible pocket of space) Porto. Love this place!
Today we're headed to the Douro Valley aka wine country. It's supposed to be one of the best drives in the world! 🛵
I used to think Scott was just a great photographer. It was a gift he was born with. You know the 'some people have it some people don’t' sort of thing. And surely he had it. Wrong.
Here’s the thing: he’s a great photographer, yes, but he’s a greater worker. Greater learner. Greater try and fail-er. He thinks and watches and sets up a shot and looks at color and content and composition. Me? I like to point and shoot. This husband of mine will wait 20 minutes for a bird to fly through just so there’s an X-factor in the shot. And then I wonder why his photos are so much better.
I love watching him work. Love watching him explore. Love watching him think and wait and get excited about a shot. And everyday, I seem to learn something new. I used to think it was mostly talent but now I see it's a whole lot of hard work too and I think I like that part even more. 🎉
Anyone else know someone you thought was insanely talented but now you recognize and appreciate the time they've put in? Tag them below and give then some love. 😍
