The Parisians are steel obsessed! Now that I know how costly steel is (current project, basement only over 10K), I think Paris is a treasure chest for all the world to see.
Can you imagine the cost of the steel in Paris!!! Try. Please. Would love a guess.
Images here are the Corinthian colum in le Gare Nord; The floret in le Musee d''Orsay; one leg of the iconic Tour d'Eiffel.
So glad that my steel came in my favourite grey blue. Much of Paris is green. Now who was in charge of that design decision?! #pariscityofsteel#garedunordparis#museed 'orsay #eiffeltower#greensteel#paris#garenord#corinthiancolumns#florets

I was struck by the grand design for this entry point. It would be hard to ignore with all of its decoration. There are so many classical elements inlaid within its designs: a coffered archway, series of Corinthian columns, medallion, and statues both above and below. #inspiredbyarchitecture#architecturaldrawings#classicalarchitecture
Peninsula tour with @stargazerdaisy included some time at Crystal Springs Reservoir and the Pulgas Water Temple
💧Drinking water flows about 175 miles from the Sierra Nevada Mountains through a series of reservoirs, powerhouses, water tunnels, the Hetch Hetchy aqueduct, and finally pipelines across the bay (and the Hayward Fault) into Crystal Springs Reservoir and San Andreas Lake, which sit in the valley created by the San Andreas Fault.
I loved this little corner of Dublin. A few weeks ago I spent a morning meandering around the streets between Rathmines and Temple Bar and found this gem of a renovation. So grateful to Carol my couch surfing host and the super friendly folk I met along the way. I would love to do more exploring in this city next time. #architecture#dublin#renovation#brick#black#corinthiancolumns#luckyduck#corner
