Latest trestle bar table has just arrived... For a change the VJ top has been sanded back to a la natural and then coated in Cabot clear to toughen it up... Do you need this on your deck to share those sundowners? We are OPEN on WEDNESDAY this week as well as our usual Thurs/Fri and Sat.
As much as I love surfing, waking up early on cold mornings really kills me. I’ll do anything to stay snuggled in bed until past 9am on the weekend! But really, on those days I do convince myself to get out for a surf, I have the best time. No regrets. Stop making excuses and start saying ‘yes’ to new adventures!

Toy trends may come and go, but there are some other kid obsessions that stand the test of time. Take dinosaurs for instance …
If you know a small child who is crazy-keen to know the name of every kind of dinosaur and memorise their unique features, you’ll be interested to know that there are a whole bunch of reasons this might be happening.
It is an almost near-universal rule..... kids love dinosaurs — if you weren’t obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid, you almost definitely know someone who was.
These kids can rattle off the scientific names of dozens, if not hundreds, of dinosaurs. They can tell you what these creatures ate, what they looked like, and where they lived.
They know the difference between the Mesozoic era and the Cretaceous period.
The level of dinosaur expertise a kid can have is seriously astounding, particularly when you consider that the average adult can name maybe ten dinosaurs at best.
Scientists call obsessions like these, an “intense interest.” Researchers don’t know exactly what sparks them — the majority of parents can’t pinpoint the moment or event that kicked off their kids’ interest — but almost a third of all children have one at some point, typically between the ages of 2 and 6 (though for some the interest lasts further into childhood). While studies have shown that the most common intense interest is vehicles — planes, trains, and cars — the next most popular, by a wide margin, is dinosaurs.
The children at Dragonfly’s Early Learning are no different..... they all love dinosaurs.
Last week they had a dinosaur hunt and
spent hours raking the sand to recover their dinosaur escapees! #mtcoolum#mountcoolum#coolum#coolumbeach#familytime#yaroomba#earlylearning#makingmemories#kindergarten#childcare
