I didn’t have a lot of the smashers bc I had cheese on my salad- and I was good with that bc my salad was freakin’ delish!! ...making conscious choices here, learning what my body needs and doesn’t need and using my mind to follow through VS the other way around... (using my mind to decide what my body needs is even more silly now that I have rearranged this... it works so much better this way!) ❤️❤️❤️

Last night I was 2 hours late for my 5th Meal and I wasn’t in the mood for my normal meal so I decided at 1 AM to make some hamburger meat. Delicious meal and quick! If you want to transform your body in a comfortable way it’s not going to happen, you got to diet, period. That’s not our job.  It’s not my job to tell you it’s going to be easy.  It’s not easy.  It’s hard to rein in your food choice and create better food habits.  It’s my job to tell you the truth.
The truth: it is challenging.

The truth: it takes commitment and consistency.
The truth: quick/easy fixes are BULLSHIT...they do not work for the long term.  You will gain back all the weight, maybe more, EVERY TIME.
LEARN how to take care of your body.  Learn how to build your healthy lifestyle for real change.  And...when someone promises you EASY when it comes to making lasting change with your food habits, save your money. .
This does not mean you can’t enjoy good food.  This does not mean you have to eat chicken and broccoli most meals of the week.  This is all about guidance and knowledge.  It means eating whole food that works to FUEL your body...and avoiding the food that builds excess fat, creates hormone imbalance, feeds disease, stunts recovery, builds bad habits/cravings, causes skin flare ups, and disrupts your stomach and gut (to name a few). I came across this sugar brand, Redpath, by chance at my local grocer (BK Market on E. Hastings, Vancouver). I did a little Google search & found it's a Canadian refinery in Ontario est'd since 1854, so I don't know how I've never heard of them before. 📣

Then I looked on their website & on the FAQs page, it confirmed their sugar is suitable for vegetarians & VEGANS! They don't use any animal products/by-products in their refining process! 📣

I know Rogers sugar has some that aren't processed with bone char but it's few & far between to find here, for me, anyways. So, I hope this helps those of you who've been frustrated with finding an affordable vegan granulated white sugar. 📣

You can also get this for cheaper than I did (I paid a bit much because I was in a pinch & needed it for kombucha. The store is minutes walking from my house but all good because local small business!) at Walmart. 😬

A lie I use to tell myself: eating healthy is expensive. .

Typically I spend around $110-$130 at the grocery store every other week (household of 2) that includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinners! Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive if you have a plan! I think the number 1 reason why I use to think it was expensive is because I’d WANT to eat better so I’d buy “healthy food” and then it would just sit in my fridge until I threw it away.. and I’d be so mad because I waisted money. Now I go in with a PLAN! I make a menu and only get what I need and I’m actually saving money! I’m not throwing food out and I’m not buying junk that looks good at the store when I’m shopping hungry! It doesn’t have to be elaborated meals and it doesn’t have to be just salads! I make GOOD food (foodie over here 🤓) meals that keep us full and FUEL our body! .

When I feel stuck or feel like I’m eating the same meals over and over again I turn to my groups and ask for tips or new recipes or I log on to my program and find TONS of new ideas to add to my list! It doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t have to be time consuming! Not sure on how to get started? That’s okay! I’m here to help ☺️ I still LOVE food but now I also respect it because I know what it does for my body!

The night before last I came down with a horrible gut bug. It might have been from eating out which I rarely do. 32hrs of fever and diarrhea was too much. I decided that if it wasn’t gone by this morning I’d give myself a kambo treatment. The morning came and my gut was still upset so I watered my plants and started my session.
