Again with Theives oil! ▪▪▪
This stuff has so many incredible uses! One I just recently learned thanks to @oilswithdebra is that Thieves essential oil can help you not "cry" when cutting onions. ▪▪▪
I have tried other things and never had success until now! ▪▪▪
I don't think I have ever met anyone who likes cutting onions. It's just the job that has to be done and we just have to deal with it. So I just had to share this with everyone!!!
Who hates cutting onions and wants to see if this works for them?!

So it's the summer and summer is made for grilling and chilling. But, if ya live in an apartment or just don't have the space for a grill well then reverse-searing a steak is just for you!
So here's the rundown! We have a nice T-Bone steak and you are looking for a steak that is a little more on the thick side (this method works best with steaks at least one and a half to two inches thick). Season with your desired seasoning and the oven should between 200 and 275°F, the lower the heat the more evenly the steak is going to cook. I did mine on 250 for about 20 minutes placing the meat on a wire rack set in a rimmed baking sheet.
Before we move on you will need a meat thermometer of some kind cause you are looking for 10 to 15°F below your desired serving temperature. After you reach that point take the steak out of the oven and I used a ripping hot cast iron skillet just at smoke point with some vegetable oil and butter with 2 cloves smashed garlic, fresh rosemary and oregano. Seared this beautiful steak on each side for about 2 minutes while basting with the infused oil/butter. Let it rest outside the pan for a few minutes and slice!
So medium rare to medium is what my wife and I enjoy and I have to say that this way of cooking a steak is fabulous! Tasty, juicy perfection with a nice golden crust on the outside. If you haven't tried reverse-searing a nice steak then give it a go!
