How excited do we look about our ice cream 🍨 😍 After the most incredible day of food and exercise @bbb.fit and I decided to treat ourselves to the most heavenly ice cream 🍦 and that’s exactly what it was, a TREAT.
So often I hear comments of judgement or ridicule of people who eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle 99% of the time, because they allow the odd indulgence “oh I thought you ate healthy”, well we do, but we also know when to enjoy food for food, especially when it’s this good! The thing about treats is acknowledging them and removing the guilt, acknowledging that you are going to have it, enjoy every single mouthful and continue your day. We attach so much emotion to food and it can end up having power over us. So instead of letting food control you and your life, take control of your eating habits.
If you are a clean eater most of the time and decide to have some popcorn at the movies, it’s not going to kill ya, or ruin your progress, if you want to go out for a social meal and order the pasta, it’s totally fine! If you want to try that new flavour of chocolate that’s caught your eye... DO! Food is about so much more than fuelling our bodies, so allow yourself your treat every now and then, it’s called BALANCE and do it GUILT FREE. You’ll be amazed by how much less you stress around food.
Remember it’s what we do most often that counts and shows in how we look and feel, not the things we do sometimes! Eating one salad won’t suddenly make you slim, just like eating this delicious @patagoniachocolates ice cream wasn’t suddenly going to undo all my hard work from the @laurensimpsonfitness challenge!
There is a missing ingredient when it comes to our anxiety.
We all go to the doctors because that is what we are conditioned to do in our society
BUT there is another way which I have discovered.
Personally, if you go to the doctors and just get drugs for your anxiety you are only covering up the problem and COPING.
Drug's just mask the issue and you never get to the root cause of it.
You rely on the meds and when the don't work or you have a spell of bad anxiety you go back and what happens they put your meds up. I've been on the end of this for years.
It is not the doctor's fault because that is what they are trained to do.
The key secret I have found is looking at the other parts of the triangle.
Food, Exercise AND thought management.
YES thought management.
Being able to
1. Understand your pattern of behaviour that is NOT helping you
2. Know where it is coming from
3. Have that conversation with your own subconscious
I've pretty much had anxiety since I was 4 in some shape of form. The worst being the manifestation of my OCD.
Taking the drugs is easy but it will never fully control or cure the issue.
It will still be there in the back of your mind.
Luckily I want to share with you one of my techniques for actually controlling this for you if like me you have anxiety.
On 7th July we have a CONTROL workshop here in Kent aimed specifically at Anxiety.
CONTROL is a system developed by Remedial Hypnotist Tim Box which ticks all the 1-3 boxes above.
It enables you to have a direct conversation with your subconscious (because that is where the anxiety is coming from) and enable you to deal with that pattern of behaviour that is causing you all these issues.

Tonight's stunning view is my gentle reminder from the universe that it's ok to go slow.
In the last week I've experienced another adrenal crash and my first thoughts divert to old patterns of thinking: I can't get better, it's not working, I'll never be well.
But just as the sun inches through the sky without seeming to move to the naked eye, I trust that my health is always progressing, slowly, even when I cant feel it.
Changing a long term health issue takes time in itself, and happens in cycles of surging ahead and then slowing down. It's easy to be disheartened when things don't feel like they're moving ahead but there's an important lesson in surrendering to the process, and giving up the need to be in control.
I've been reminded this week to anchor myself into small rituals that nourish my body and my soul to keep myself on the right track when I feel like I don't have the energy to move.
For me that's been making sure to drink lots of water, a daily bone broth, connect with my higher self through my chanting practice, and with the protective forces of the universe through my card readings.
Just focusing small through this lower part of the cycle keeps me connected to the bigger picture.
The process will take however long it needs and it's ok to go slow.

If my desires are not in line with You, I will be still grateful because You know what’s best for me. You do have greater plans than my desires. Make me steady, so I can faithfully walk in the way You have created for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen."

1. Para y respira ( 4 o 5 respiraciones conscientes son suficientes).
2. Evalúa la situación de forma rápida.
3. Toma un nuevo encuadre, cambia el foco.
4. Escoge la respuesta que creas más apropiada.
5. Empieza a conectar con una nueva emoción que te dé nuevas sensaciones ( recuerda alguna situación agradable de tu vida y qué sentías).
6. Siéntete poderoso. “Lo conseguí”
7. Sé agradecido con la vida.
