In the darkness
When a second
Turns into forever
The first glance
Seemed so innocent
But speaks volumes
Only a Heart could discern
What lies behind eyelids
That stretches from here
To the edge of the abyss
Making it hard to distinguish
Between a free fall
Soaring in the heavens
Possibly just caught
In the ubiquity of infinity
You are in the moment
Can you feel it?
As if little fingers
Touching you from head to toes
When the impossible
The feelings offering
Food for thought
Life is One Love
BIG NEWS (literally) I am so excited that I have been chosen to participate in this year's #paintmemphis in September! I can't wait to trade in my usually small surface to paint a wall! Stayed tuned for more info.

I'm loving these scenes from Liza Kavanagh. You could stand for hours admiring all the layers behind the final piece.
Don't forget we are the only place in the north you can find her work so act quick!
My “Cloudscapes for Kay” collection is now available on my website. (Link in bio). This collection is dedicated to my mom, Kay, who left us way too soon. She passed away suddenly of a massive stroke in late July, a few weeks before her 69th birthday. She was a lover of the outdoors, an avid kayaker, hiker, and gardener, an energenic and loving grandma, a yoga enthusiast and a fellow sky gazer. It wasn't out of the ordinary for her to call me and tell me to run outside and look at the sunset or text me photos she'd taken of the dramatic Montana skies. She was generous with her love to all she encountered.
Last year, she and my dad moved to Bigfork and built a house to be closer to their daughters and grand babies. I feel so fortunate to have had that time to be near her. I still feel her here, inspiring me to create and to live fully and passionately and to take the time to revel in the beauty of the outdoors.
Creating this collection of paintings has been healing and I can’t help but think that she had something to do with how freely each painting seemed to flow. I hope that her love and light shines through in every one.
Until we meet again pretty lady, keep sending me those gorgeous clouds. I love you mama.

‘Reunited’ Oil on canvas 60x60cm.
This painting was inspired by being reunited with someone who’d been special to me, many years ago when I was at school, someone I hadn’t seen for 21 years!! I didn’t know when I painted this, that something beautiful would blossom out of that reunion; but there it is, shining through the light in this work!
Needless to say, the painting won’t be for sale, cos this special someone has already put their name on it, even though, until now I hadn’t mentioned why I painted it! @akd1981 😍
Life is beautiful and full of surprises!!
