Are you feeling like you want to give up?
Me too. You’re not alone. Building a business isn’t the easiest thing and when you’re an entrepreneur, your business becomes your life. Everything meshes into one. If things are challenging in your biz, something as small as making lunch for yourself can feel like an impossible task.
I woke up today feeling emotionally defeated and physically drained from my businesses.
It happens to all of us.. I wanted to throw my phone at the wall, run away, and go be outside with nature.
Instead, I looked back at the past two months. I re-lived the experiences, emotions, conversations, money-in and money-out. If you feel like giving up, look at how far you’ve come since you started.
We often get upset with ourselves because we do not see the level of growth we want quick enough. We become impatient because we are working SO hard and we want to see a return on our investments NOW.
Life doesn’t work like that.. everything takes time. It’s up to you to push through the hard days and stay consistent. Even when it feels impossible.
Be strong. Show up for yourself. Show up for your business. Keep fighting the battle and be grateful for where you are now on your journey.
Trust me, I know it’s hard. I’m living it too. Go back to your “why.” Why are you doing this? What is your end goal? If you made no money at all, what would still fulfill you in your heart?
Remember, no one can build this dream for you. It’s up to you and only you to make it happen. Don’t give up. Show up! xx 💋
Please ignore the fact that I really need to wash my hair...
3 things when it comes to making progress:
1. Be intentional with your movements, don’t just go through the motions. You should know what muscles you’re working & focus on them. #mindmuscleconnection
2. Be consistent. Acknowledge your weaknesses & work ON them, not around them. #consistencyiskey
3. Not sure what your weaknesses are? Start logging your workouts! Or, record a video of you doing wide dumbbell squats... You’ll see (and feel) that your adductors are both weak & immobile real quick! (Just me?) #tgif#thegrindincludesfriday#flexfriday#workoutoftheday#girlswholift
The universe doesn’t care what you want!😩😢
The universe cares about who you’re BEING.
Are you BEING worthy of your goals and aspirations?
Are you BEING someone who takes aligned actions?
Are you BEING consistent?
Are you BEING of service?
If you don’t act like a 4 figure,
or even 7 figure business owner,
you simply cannot BEcome one!
Here comes the weirdness!
If you are new here welcome, if you’ve been following me for a while, I truly appreciate your support and the time you spend reading my content.
Today I’m going to share a little more about myself. 📚 I hated math in high school, but personal finances has been a passion of mine that I’ve studied and nerded out for years. I legit will be excited to wake up early on a Saturday morning to work on spreadsheets. Helping people transform their entire lives by attending to their finances, is the reason I was put here on the earth. 🤓
👖 I am pretty simple when it comes to clothes, I am really a t-shirt and jeans (now more so leggings & @livify because Freddy pants = life ;) kind of gal.
🥗 If you follow my IG stories, you know I eat a #saladthesizeofmyhead every damn day.
Fun fact, I never ate a salad until I was 22. No joke.
🐶 I began my first business when I was 11 years old.
🐴 Then I began my second business when I was 14 years old, built my first business and began marketing online, I had zero clue what I was doing, but I was determined I was going to be successful.
👩🏻 I used to have my lip pierced, #itwasubercute
💰 If I put a nickel in a swear jar every time I swore, I would be a millionaire. #sailorsmouth
😴 If I was on a deserted island and I could only take one thing with me, it would be my eye mask. Not joking. I went from being an insomniac to sleeping through the night due to really working on my night time habits, reducing my stress and improving my health.
🍦 I can’t bite ice cream because I have sensitive teeth. When I see people do that I get complete goosebumps.
🐮 I had a steer (cow) named Melon that I trained to ride.
I make the most random sounds throughout the day and talk in the weirdest voices, for no reason at all.
🎥 I could talk about my favorite government/CIA/conspiracy movies for about 4 hours.
🐁 Snakes and spiders don’t bother me at all, but my fear of mice is for real.
I would love to get to know you better! Any of my weird-o-ness resonate with you? Share a interesting fact about yourself below!!!

My 4 weeks old intern has legit got to be the best 👌her drive amazes me and to say I'm impressed doesn't cut it.
I've had people ask me if they can really learn how to sew in 3 months and I always tell them it all depends on their commitment to learning. Consistency is key👌don't expect that you should be able to sew like your boss within or immediately after your training period. Bear it in mind that It didn't take your boss just a few months to get to where they are, it happened over time through consistency and dedication to what they do. That being said there is truly nothing u cannot achieve when u set your heart out to #fact .
There is a common misconception in the fitness industry that intensity drives results. While there are several definitions of intensity based on the context of the situation, most people who are using that word are referring to “maximum effort or fatigue.” In this context they are advising that fatigue is this goal of training. This leads people to believe that they should celebrate training that leaves them writhing on the ground in a big ball of sweat.
This dogma is particularly common in the CrossFit, bootcamp, and HIIT methods of training, which are exceedingly popular in today’s “no pain, no gain” fitness culture. While intensity is an important variable to manipulate, focusing every training session on achieving maximum fatigue leads to unsustainable training, loss of motivation, and increased risk for injury over time.
Conversely when quality of movement, consistency, and submaximal efforts are prioritized, your goals become much more achievable, while simultaneously lowering your risk. We know that increased volume over time leads to improvements in all things fitness. One thing that CrossFit ideology got right was that increasing work capacity over time is a direct reflection of increased fitness over time. Unfortunately CrossFit added maximum intensity to their paradigm of increased volume over time, leading people to focus on high intensity instead of consistency.
Increased volume and work capacity is achieved over many years, not 12 week training cycles. Imagine how many more training sessions you can accomplish in a year if maximum fatigue was not your primary goal. Imagine how much lower your risk of injury would be if you consistently operate between 70-90% of intensity for most of your training sessions. Imagine how much faster you can recover when you are training submaximally most of the time, and maximum intensity is no longer the primary training goal of EACH session.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Learn to pick and choose your moments to express your maximum effort wisely, and you’ll see marked improvements in your fitness, recovery, and injury risk.

Run (317) Mass Ave Race
The race started with a caution (yellow flag). It was 84 and not as humid as the last few days have been. They announced that there were 2200 runners in attendance for this Thursday evening.
Given the conditions, my increased mileage over the past 2 weeks and no rest day before the race, I thought I was successful. Had a 10:57 avg pace which is by far one of my best times since I started running in March. Avg HR @ 157. Now I just need to continue my focus on maintaining that pace over a longer period of time.
@fishersrunningclub was representing this evening. Good to see some familiar faces. Glad to have FRC as part of my marathon training program 🏃🏼♂️🏃♀️
@orangetheory was out representing. Ali and Alexis from @otfdowntownindy were in the house! So good to have Orange Theory as part of my marathon training program. 🔥💪🏼🍊
Today is a much needed rest day. As week 2 comes to a close I will review my plan again and make necessary adjustments going into next week.
Everyone have a blessed and peaceful Friday!!!!!
The reason I do pt?
Love the look on people's faces when they push themselves to the brink but keep the smile! It's such a rewarding job knowing that you're helping people to better their lives!
