People don’t seem to take me seriously when I say I literally eat everything and I never do a diet. (I know it’s convenient to assume on the surface rather than looking into the truth behind.)
I never believed in any diet simply because I know I can never sustain anything/anybody that tells what NOT to eat. (Plus, my husband is a chef which I’m not going to turn his delicious dishes away duh)
I also know it’s gonna be harder and worse to deal with what happens when you stop certain diets especially as a regular person like me (with not a whole lot of self control over foods), not a competitor/athlete.
I don’t have any medical condition and I’m one of the most people who do not need to eat certain foods only.
You don’t get fat by eating certain foods which means not eating certain foods doesn’t make you lose fat, your body stores fat when you eat more than what your body burns. (Simple👏🏼Math👏🏼)
I think it’s about time to stop being fooled around by all these fad diets out there.
It’s a beautiful day to lift! Just a few videos from a solid back workout with gym wifey. Took a much needed rest day yesterday so that I could give it my all in the gym today. Not every day is going to be my best lift but rest assure we are keeping it 💯 as always. Peep those back details and video credit to my lovely @sashrod9. Here’s a few of the workouts we did. Pull ups, 3 sets AMRAP, Cable push downs 3 sets 10-15 reps, and another favorite underhanded cable pat pulls 3 sets 10-15 reps. Feeling motivated has been tough lately. Here's the thing though ....I know I can't stop training. If I do, life gets invariably worse ...I fear I would sink back to the woman I was before I started my fitness journey ...and my future self ....well she would be pissed at my present self for not taking right action to continue moving forward. .
So, what am I doing? .
I am committing. I am showing up. I am doing it any way ....and right now I am simply checking the box. .
I get it. It’s not sexy, but it is honest. That’s the gift of discipline and habits. They carry us to the other side. .
I have some big goals on the horizon. I can focus on how unprepared I feel or I can focus on each 24 hours ahead and maximize them. One is a feeling, the other is action. I have come to understand feelings aren’t fact and every action gets me one step closer to my goals. I am aiming for 1% better every day. .
My new focus: Do today what your future self will thank you for. .
