This mixed media sandpaper drawing was just sold but prints will be available :).
The theme of this piece is similar to my fetus drawing in the fact that even though religion (Christianity) is fading in today’s society it is still the foundation in our local/national government, education, and home (environment). We are conditioned in a set of beliefs the moment we are born, all the way until death. I believe that society shouldn’t discourage people from there own path; it allows people to adjust to new conditions and discoveries and become pliable. “We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.” -Richard Dawkins
ok. from the series: me re-enacting conceptual art. allan kaprow did a performance series at reuben gallery ny in 1959 (!!!): 18 happenings in 6 parts. swipe to see him climbing the ladder to prepare the happenings. my friend katrin @katrinmariaweber took some random photos of me in that construction site next to my gallery, and there happens to be a photo of my alltime heroine AGNES MARTIN climbing a ladder in some quilted suit...may i allow myself to combine these as well. #allankaprow#agnesmartin#heroes#heroines#quilt#ladder#conceptualart
