No one one chooses their destiny
But who will remember your legacy
One step and it's all gone
One step but it feels wrong
Don't let your light burn out
You control the way you turn out
Who lives who died who tells your story?
This is one of my favorite species in the Iberian Peninsula, the midwife toads, which are represented by three species and more on the island of Mallorca. This male midwife toad (Alytes obstetricans) carries his offspring, because after mating with the female, she leaves and is the father who takes care of the eggs. Trying to maintain its humidity and temperature, it hides in wet leaves or under a large rock. When it comes to leave the egg, the male enters a pond, a river or a garden source (which is his case), to release the larvae in the water.
I hope you like this portrait of a subspecies of adaptation unique to the southeast of Madrid called "pertinax"
#Different#Levels of #Friendship *
When we're young & still schooling, it's a lot easier to #makefriends . As we grow older, friends come & go owing to various reasons. However, I #believe , to what extent we're able to maintain #good#friendship depends a lot on the degrees of mutual #communication & #sincerity . *
According to some specialists, there are #fivestages of #development : *
1) #Strangers :
This is defined by the lack of awareness of another's existence. It is the lowest level; how it progresses to friendship depends on the first #impression a person leaves on another. A good impression will lead to the next stage. *
This is defined by occasional interactions that two persons have. This may be a schoolmate, a project partner or colleague. At this stage, you know each other because of the occasional #interactions . However, this is just about it -- #sharing a #common short-term #goal or #fulfilling a purpose. Both parties do not know each other personally. *
This is where a person can actually say that they know the other person. People meet more frequently, & perhaps their interactions are planned. They may #share some common interests & activities, & are aware of each other a bit more. Nonetheless, most people never make it past this level. *
This is when both persons are willing to invest in each other personally & emotionally. Because of the level of #trust , close friends share more information about themselves. They're familiar with each other's family members & some aspects of their intimate lives. This is where people are more #connected & share #experiences together. Both have seen each other at their best & at their worst & #choose to stay around. *
This stage is attained over time, through many shared experiences & vulnerability. Both parties are vulnerable to reveal their secrets, insecurities & fears. It's this intimacy that they become connected soul to soul, & are #committed to helping each other #grow & develop into better people. This is where there's complete #trust , #faith & deep #understanding . *
How many of your friends are at level 4 or 5? ;)
