This exercise can be done on the “roman chair” at the gym, a Pilates reformer, a bench, a stability ball, or something else you come up with. The most important thing with this movement is that the top leg stays straight so that you isolate the QL and oblique. .

The variation on a roman chair or stability ball is much easier. If you are unable to do the one shown in the video, then you simply aren’t strong enough yet. .

If you find that your back is cramping up while doing this exercise, try massaging the lower back with a lacrosse ball (shown in a video last week) to loosen up the tissue first. .

Yesterday’s #towdman race started well but ended BADLY. From 1st to 3rd lady in the last few miles of a 13.8m slog. Total energy drain, barely able to keep my legs moving. Even had to walk the downhill road mile to the finish. My course record from last year still stands & I was 20 mins slower this year 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hopefully I’ll come back stronger next year 👊🏻

Jimmy Garoppolo has officially torn his ACL amd will miss the remainder of the 2018-2019 season. CJ Beathard will start at quarterback and the 49ers will put Jimmy on IR and likely sign a backup this week. Only things to be grateful for is how much Jimmy is willing to give for this team and that his injury was now and not later in the year. #comebackstronger

In less then a week I get my cast off! No broken bone will stop me nah!  So blessed to have such a wonderful partner that has shown me a lot of love and support through my healing time. I’ve learned a lot through this time to surrender and change old patterns to move in a direction that I feel aligned with. Giving thanks for life! Brittany has been off for a few months because of her new job. The good thing is that she didn’t lose her strength. This is a nice and easy 385 pound deadlift. She hasn’t touched a barbell in a long time but it went up like nothing. Now that she is settled at her job I’m going to put her on a program for 4 months. Then she will make her come back in early 2019. Don’t be suprised if you see her pull 425-450 pounds. Every meet we have increased her total. As we speak I’m working on her new program. Seit Berlin ist nun eine Woche vergangen. Die letzten Tage waren eine wahre Achterbahn der Gefühle. Die Freude über die neue PB nahm ich mit in die neue Woche. Auf meinen neuen Job freute ich mich wahnsinnig, die Beine waren locker und fit trotz letztlich 47 K am Sonntag. Bis zum Ende der Woche hatte ich dann immer mehr das Gefühl ich laufe meinen Marathon von 2010 erneut. Der Marathon damals war so schlimm, dass ich fast 5 Jahre keinen mehr gelaufen bin. 2010 startete ich schon verletzt- wie sich später herausstellte, litt ich an einer Schleimbeutelentzündung in der Hüfte. Nach kurzer Euphorie folgte der Schmerz, der jeden Kilometer unerträglich machte. So unerträglich, dass ich damals nach 27 Kilometern den Ausstieg gewählt habe. Meine Familie wartete im Start-/Zielbereich, was bedeutete ich musste durch all die Massen glücklicher Finisher. Mit ihren Medaillen um den Hals feiert sie sich, während mir die Tränen liefen. Genauso fühlte sich die letzte Woche an- so fühlt es sich immer noch an. Natürlich weiß ich heute, dass der Schmerz heilen wird und ja ich bin wieder erfolgreich gelaufen. Doch den Weg bis dahin gehen, fällt mir gerade unendlich schwer. Dafür sitzt die Enttäuschung zu tief. Dann nach vorne zu schauen und selbstbewusst bleiben, ist für mich die größte Hürde. Zweifeln ist so manchmal viel einfacher als zu vertrauen- in mich und meine Stärken. Oder warum denke ich während eines anstrengenden Rennens so oft „Das schaffe ich nie!“ oder „Ich möchte jetzt aufgeben!“? Anders als beim Marathon 2010 kann ich derzeit nicht einfach aussteigen. Den Schmerz muss ich jetzt über die gesamte Distanz tragen…

Hey Freunde seit Mittwoch bin ich jetzt auf Reha und ich merke wie mein Knie reagiert und es annimmt👍 für mich bedeutet das ich 5 Std am Tag intensiv an meiner Fitness und Stabilität arbeite mit guten Therapeuten😉 natürlich fahre ich mit dem Rad zur Reha das sind 21km und 21 km zurück plus den Reha Sport so werde ich bestimmt fit und komme schnell zurück auf die Strecke ob mit Rad oder zu Fuß 💪👍👌❗❗❗
