Welcoming you in all your glory. We expect big things from you this month.
Are you set for the month ahead friends?
Sadly the weather has taken a turn this morning which is sad when it is the last weekend of my Colour Therapy Healing course. The good news is that the External Examiner was more than happy with my portfolio and treatment this morning so that part is a pass. I just have to finish off a few assignments and complete my case studies and fingers crossed I will be getting my certificate in early March. I am pleased but sad that I won’t be spending another full weekend with the girls Valerie and Poonam but I’m sure we will keep in touch.
Hope you have had a great day today friends.
This oncoming January I will be going back to Prussia Cove to have a creative retreat. This print is called Prussia and is a reminder of the light in the stripped back landscape of winter. The weather has definitely changed in Cornwall as we are currently being bashed by a storm. Went out yesterday to see the sea and the normal calm seas of Falmouth were instead charged with a different energy. Often my paintings and illustrations are dominated by blue but the golden tones of autumn have crept into this one.
This print is called “Pathways” and inspired by winter walks and the marks ingrained in the landscape after the previous seasons growth. I love skeletal seedheads, the grooves left in footpaths by continual footsteps and the archeological shapes that appear in the stripped landscape. I also love the light of winter sunshine.. a soft golden hue, casting warmth on a cooler landscapes. What do you love about winter landscapes ?
