16. Chocolate...well you may have noticed I’m doing a photo a day challenge with the theme of colour? Today it’s chocolate, and well I don’t use a lot of brown... though I do have this lovely Balinese fabric with rich chocolate brown, orange and gold that is quite stunning. Not sure what it will become yet. But also here’s some chocolate cos your more likely to see that in my studio than the colour chocolate lol 😆🍫🧡😜✂️🎨😀 #fmsphotoaday#fms_chocolate

Couldn’t just post a picture of my new mugs, so popped in a ball of yarn to make them ‘on brand’. Seriously, I do love my new mugs. And not only because they were a bargain, but because I find them really really pleasing to look at. The blue and mustard and then the soft blush pink, give me all the heart eyes.
I do wonder what makes a colour so pleasing to one person yet detested by another? (Also, I remember as child I thinking about how could I know for certain that what I see as the colour blue, for example, is what someone else sees as the colour blue?)
I’m really looking forward to being able to fill up my shelves with lots of new pieces. I have lots coming your way!
I forgot how long it takes to dry out pieces when it’s cold outside, the drying process turns from a couple of days to over a week. Even braved facing the heater towards everything today 🤦🏼♀️ But we will get there people! 😁
Thirty years ago, I wanted to be a jet pilot, I caught fish and fed them to stray cats, I walked around in my pants staring at people and insects and worrying that the planet was all I knew when there is a universe out there. I made myself cry, making up sad songs and collected number plates in lists. I’m still the anxious, curious type. Channelling it into glass art.
