This is yoga my way!
I'm selling vitamins, not aspirin in a world where health is reactionary instead of preventative. I'm well aware of how hard this journey could be. #ipersist

Happy #InternationalYogaDay 🧘🏽♀️ (if even tho it was yesterday 😂😂) So I’ve been going through a phase to where I know what makes me happy but now I’m just afraid to actually be happy and live in my happiness. I have over 100 yoga videos I’ve recorded over time but I always end up feeling like they’re not good enough because of my insecurities. But Thankfully I’ve become realize that sometimes finding yourself takes a lifetime and even when I think I know who I am life happens and the universe is like “ bitch you thoughttt” Lol So this post about me just living in the moment and not letting the criticism of my own ego control my thoughts. And to announce that I’ve created a yoga page @underthesunyoga🌞 I haven’t done anything cool on the page yet but if you are a yoga fan go ahead and hit the follow button you won’t be disappointed 🦄 PS: This is my favorite fail video thus far and trust me I have plenty🤣🤣 #yoga#trapyoga#yogaeverydamnday#yogainspiration#yogaeveryday#yogisofinstagram#yogi#yogini#blackgirlsdoyoga#colorsofyoga#headstands#asana#coreworkout#fitness#balance

Happy #InternationalYogaDay 🧘🏾♀️
I’m grateful to be training to become a teacher. I feel rewarded as I teach children weekly, and I look forward to bringing more people along my yoga journey in the coming months.
✨Today is a lovely day, it is both the Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day - two of my favorite days (no judgement towards other days) 💕☀️ for me yoga and summer equate to happiness, the feelings I have on the yoga mat and in the sun are very similar, complete and total bliss, with a side of sweating. I began my yoga journey when a was going thru some tough times, yes I practiced on and off prior for years, but it truly stuck for me in 2012 when I thought my life was in the worst place. It really wasn’t, but yoga opened my mind to deeper thoughts and opened up layers inside of my that I didn’t know even existed. I’ve learned so many lessons from yoga. I don’t think in a post I can articulate all that yoga has done for me, but I can say that yoga has transformed my life. •
My heart has always been open. That is one thing that has not changed. My heart loves and it loves fully. My heart can’t take the things going on in this world and lately it has been crying, hence why I haven’t been posting on my page much, because I just don’t know what to say. Why can’t we treat all humans equally? Why can’t every life be loved the same? It is hard for me to fathom why some people think a certain skin tone is more important than another. I just don’t get it. So I’m asking you all today on this special day to treat others with more love, more compassion, and more equality, because all of our hearts should beat together as one. My soul honors your soul. 🙏🏾
This picture was taken a little over 2 years ago in Costa Rica at my yoga teacher training and I believe the picture was taken by my soul sister @jjjannnine 👯♀️❤️ I really miss the beach and since it’s Thursday I decided to throw it back. Hoping you all had a lovely and happy day or at least had a day!
Soooo...this happened. The first day of summer and International Yoga Day has been good to me. This time last year, I didn’t even know if I was going to teach in Jersey and this year I’m on a stage with amazing instructors/performers like Daniela and Marci “bringing the heat”. I couldn’t have even imagined this.
Life Time Princeton you make this California girl really happy. Y’all rocked it!!! I’ll see you all in class Saturday at 9:30 in the morning to get the full 60 minutes of Warrior Sculpt. Love and so much light. Also thank you @stayfitaudrey for this taking this video. Love ya! #bringtheheat
some days you show up, try & it just doesn’t click. but you dust yourself off, give thanks, show up tomorrow & try again.
if you’ve been around you’ve seen the beginning. the pause. where i am now. grateful for my practice & eager to see what’s in store. 🌻
— y’all see that orb though ✨
I started yoga in the Summer of 2015 at a time in my life when I needed to find some sort of a balance. It was a tumultuous time where I felt overwhelmed with the pressure of my last year of undergrad along with dealing with the end of a long jouney... I was in desperate need of "stillness" and read that yoga was able to help one find focus and channel a lot of the internal issues in order to find that stillness. After doing researches and studies about the history, the health benefits, and the asanas which are the poses, I was able to find some sort of a solution to my much needed angst. The idea became clear; yoga is a conduit that may help one find balance in the mental, physical, and spiritual state thus better being able to face the new positions in life. However, I never knew it could be this effective if pouring in the efforts needed to truly understand the journey. I am self taught and I have been doing yoga now for about 3 good years. I must say it has helped in a many ways than one. It has changed my perception on living and embracing the challenges with each new positions in life in order to grow and remain healthily sane.
Happy International yoga day! 🧘🏾♂️
Happy International Yoga Day! As you practice today, remember our bodies change from day to day for many reasons and we must work with your body where it is today. It's called "practice" for a reason. Never rush or force the process and be humble enough to practice frequently to get to where you want to be.
At times, it may seem that everyone is able to fall into a splits, catapult into a handstand and fly in crow pose but don't be fooled. Practice makes progress. Move at your own pace and know that is truly enough.
When things become difficult, focus on your breath and remember your practice on the mat is practice for your life off the mat. That is where the real challenge begins! Focus on your breath and you will feel more at peace on and off your mat.
Happy #InternationalYogaDay y’all 😁 Yoga has become such an integral part of my life, and it’s hard to imagine myself without it. And it’s connected me to a whole lot of incredible people, whom I’d probably never have known otherwise
Grateful for this practice that brings us together, and for all of you and the constant inspiration you give me! •
