I love this series so much...so much that it makes how laborious and complicated they are to make worth it every time. :-)
I made the first one of this series about five years ago by request of a commission for an upscale hip medical clinic in San Francisco. We had conceptual discussions about a work that would be a real one of a kind involving possibly wooden sticks and paint, which got me thinking about dipping sticks in paint, which got me thinking... and visioning... this very cool sculpture that felt like it was calling me to be made. :-)
I had these visions in my head. Visions that were a bit of a riddle to figure out how to execute. Trying to translate what I could see into the how to create it physically was a real challenge. I’ve learned that I have to just let the how come. I have to believe in the vision and not get myself hung up on HOW I’m going to make it... just see it as made in my head. Ultimately the result is usually like a mental reverse engineering of sorts. As I see my aim completed in my head, it starts becoming more clear step by step backwards how to get there. One day I announced in the middle of doing something else “I just figured it out! Ha!” And I had! I could see the steps I needed to take to get there. Not because I was forcing it because that almost never works. It was because I left that finished idea in my head and stepped away and let the HOW come to me. And “Stick Together” was born. :-) -— -
I share that with you because my experience is that this works amazingly well for creating anything -art, life dreams, abundance, health, love, really there are no limits to how this can be applied. It starts with seeing a thing/aim/desire/dream/creation as complete, whole, realized... and then stay steady in that image, experiencing it in our mind just as if it were already created... and then we don’t force or fret but let the HOW reveal itself to us like reverse engineering. -
Try some reverse engineering in your life today and see how it goes! You might just create something fun and wow!🌈
Today I got some cards ready. My cards are always made with the remaining painting from my paintings, and it is always exciting to see how they end out 😊
I dag fik jeg lidt kort klar. Mine kort bliver altid lavet af restmaling fra mine andre malerier, derfor er det altid sjovt at se hvor de ender 😊

Lotus pose is based on the lotus flower which has its roots in muddy waters, but blooms above the water without becoming dirty by the mire below. The mud which roots the lotus flower is staid to be symbolic of our attachments and desires. It is said that the lotus flower’s unfolding petals suggests the expansion of our soul. As such the lotus flower is a symbol of the purity of our body, speech, and mind. The way that water droplets easily slide off the petals of the lotus flower is said to be symbolic of detachment.
The lotus flower is a metaphor for the quest of the yogi. Just like us, the lotus flower is an example of how something beautiful can emerge from something unpleasant. As yogis we can experience the flower of spiritual progress emerging from the mud and muck of our actions as we exercise consistent efforts to improve and grow. The lotus flower is an important symbol of spiritual progress for the yogi as we can grow from the muck of even the worst circumstances.
The Goddess of abundance and beauty, Lakshmi, chooses the lotus flower as her throne. Lakshmi reminds us that we can create beauty and abundance from any situation. The lotus flower is also a metaphor for spiritual progress through our chakra system. The lotus flower is rooted at the base of our spine at the root chakra. It grows up through the spine to its crowning glory at the seventh chakra – the 1,000-petaled lotus flower which symbolizes the expansion of our soul

Monday morning minis. Creating small artworks that contain so much soul is thrilling. Each one is vastly unique as they embrace their vibrant color and vivid textures.
This Thursday, I will be releasing 10 "MINØR Minis" at a discounted rate for Black Friday. I rarely work on such a small scale so I experienced both challenges and triumphs during this creation process. I cannot wait to share them with all of you.
