Before and After ☀️
Major change on my classmate SoKim! We gave her a major chop with an elongated bob. Then gave her a heavy foil with warm tones which fits with her sunshine personality 😄 So glad she loved it! (Redken flash lift, redken shades eq 09GB)
#colorcorrection from a few months back. Her parents wanted her to look normal again. A friend of hers colored it, first bleaching one side prior. We didn’t have Prevanna color remover at the time so used the DPL twice for the first time which only allowed me to bring her to about a level 6 on the black side. Unfortunately it wasn’t a nice solid level 6 so colored her about a level 5 again afterwards with ColorSync. We ran out of time to dry it, so I never posted this. Lesson is black boxed color is difficult to remove. Color corrections can take hours, costly bills and even damaged hair if rushed and not treated properly by your stylist. Please just don’t do it! #matrix#colorcorrection#colorcorrecting
I love a good color correction 😍❤️ we had been doing different fashion colors on this babe for almost a year and she has been trying to let it fade out on its own for a few months now, swipe for the before!
Swipe right for before ➡️➡️ Talk about a mama makeover.. it was a pleasure to do so ❤️
* First I did a pre chop, knowing we’re going a bit shorter and took off about 6 inches
* Weaved foilayage, with lots of teasing to keep all that depth * Glossed with pulp riot icy and ash for 10 minutes
* Long layers and face frame
* Framar foils and tools
Did you know that color correction is normally not a fix that can be done in only one visit to your hairstylist?
When clients color their hair at home, there is always a risk that the end result may not be what one wanted. The color may not be the ideal shade, or evenly dispersed throughout the hair or could even cause damage due to over-processing their hair.
For a professional hair stylist to do color correction, it is important to understand this could take a few visits until the color can be completely corrected in order to avoid causing more damage to a clients hair. This can also result in an expensive process as well.
See the picture below as an example showing what colors have to be stripped from one’s hair when going from black to blonde.

This is one of those hair transformations that I wish I would have taken a before of... She started off with hair past her shoulders and a foil pattern needed some tlc. To fix it I started by cutting her hair to the general length we wanted, then switched up her foil pattern to allow brightness in all the right places. After doing the detailed cut and style, she left looking like a new lady!
