Last day being 5 years old! I can’t believe you have been in our lives almost 6 years. I remember you kicking like crazy in my belly and ready to see the world. You came out ready and running. You have always been one step ahead of me. You’re so smart and and spicy, and the perfect combo of me and your daddy! I love everything that you are and everything that you will become. I’m sure next year you will be taller than me! 😊
See, I told you, you get on a Slayer, you'll want a Slayer!! Or, you just won't want to give it back and we'll run cemetery the very next day, cause, damn it, you're going to stand through the whole thing!!!
Day 19 was a rinse and repeat day!!! #yestoadventure#supyes#shaboomee#100daysonaSUP
Concepts, possibilities, plans — ideas are always tugging at my attention.
When the idea of starting a marketing company became harder and harder for me to ignore, I knew it was time to act and give it a shot. And it all happened so quickly. I remember looking at my roommate across the table as I struggled to put together a new piece of Ikea furniture and thinking out loud, "I wouldn't even know what to call it." A few Google searches later, my roommate stumbled upon the word "Aggrandize" which means "to increase the power, status, or wealth of. Or to enhance the reputation of (someone) beyond what is justified by the facts." We both smiled at each other.
We knew that we had just found a word to describe my mission — to help people and businesses succeed through professional storytelling (also known as marketing 😊). The tagline "Grand Your Brand" soon followed, and I formed “Aggrandize LLC” a couple weeks later.
These drawings were created by a graphic designer who I worked with during my branding process. I gave him some concepts, and he produced these awesome logo ideas.

Probably a little over a year now I read an article about social media use that stood out to me. The writer went on to describe the social media craze and what we can do to stay present in our own lives. The last paragraph of the article stuck with me and now always will. The writer said that when it comes to social media (especially Instagram) a good rule of thumb is not sharing your favorite photos. To keep those magical photos just for your eyes.
So that is what I have practiced with social media and what I will continue to practice...I keep my absolute favorite photos to myself. I refuse to share them. I even started practicing another rule of thumb that I won't share my favorite moments on social media. The little things that I do on a daily basis to feed my soul...I keep to myself. I'm all for sharing the trauma and the tragedy of my life because I believe in the power of sharing human experiences....but it has been really special never sharing my absolute favorite photos. Keeping those magical moments to myself ❤
