Attaining perfect balance is an illusion. Success happens when you learn to be off balance, on purpose and continually make small adjustments as you move forward in your life, love and academic endeavors!

Awesome day at Wichita State University. The Kansas Army National Guard hosted a Blackhawk orientation flight where community members got to learn about the history of the national guard and its benefits. This was followed up by a Blackhawk ride. #collegedegree#tuitionfree#citizensoldiers @goshockers @ksarngrr @kansasguard @foxfitnessbjj @butlercc
Tariffs on imports will help local manuf co’s thrive. Castings primarily made in west Michigan will raise in demand and flood southeast mi with quality manuf. work for the die and mold industry. Positively Impacting jobs. If your looking for a job I’d consider skilled trades.

# 769 (countdown)
Woke up 4:10 am.
Met a girl 20 years younger than I am. We met yesterday on a movie set. She dropped out of college because she didn’t like it. She didn’t like the thing she picked. She picked that thing over law school where she could have studied — she passed the exam and was admitted. So now, at a young age of 21, she is figuring herself out. I think that’s smart. Recently she moved to Warsaw and started going to movie sets to earn some money.
I felt that she felt the need to explain these decisions to me. Which she didn’t have to do at all. It doesn’t matter if I understand them. But, quite accidentally, I do. At first I felt that too, to some extent. But then I quickly reminded myself that I don’t need anybody’s understanding. I don’t give a crap if someone is able to understand. I don’t predicate my decisions on other people’s ability to understand them. They don’t need to understand. If they’re unable to understand (like some members of my family) why should it be my problem? It’s them who don’t understand. I understand myself.
I guess it’s this need to fit in, to be accepted by people, to belong to some group. In groups we feel better. Actually it’s “In groups we feel better?” I don’t know if that’s true for all of us. Everybody is telling us that we need to belong somewhere. What if that’s just a yet another cliché we repeat after our parents (who repeated it after theirs, etc.)?
Maybe we’ve evolved and that’s no longer the absolute truth? Maybe being a loner is fine? If some people like to be loners, why couldn’t it be fine? What, should they force themselves to be around likeminded people (guess most people can’t stand being around people who aren’t likeminded for long) in order to validate some longstanding belief of those who are convinced that people can’t / shouldn’t isolate themselves?
Or maybe it’s about this need to be able to relate to people who are more or less like you (who are from the same culture).

Here is an article for Rasmussen College that I was able to contribute to. Thanks to @jessscherman for the opportunity! Not only do I work to serve the non-traditional student community, I am still currently one myself. So all of the research, writing and speaking that I do is based off of real life "in the trenches with you" principles, not what I read in a book!

“My financial background makes me especially qualified to optimize an equitable sharing of college expenses. Typically, one parent seeks money from the other parent towards a child or children’s college education. Illinois law allows for divorcing or divorced parents to request their spouse or ex-spouse to contribute to their children’s educational expenses. The final decision is based mostly upon the financial resources of the parents and college bound student. I help identify and quantify each parent’s financial ability to contribute, or not.”
You guys, my BFF graduated with her masters. Say whaatt?! This girl is seriously one of my biggest inspirations. We became best friends in 4th grade when she moved to America from Austria and knew no English. It is crazy to look back at all she has accomplished and it is so inspiring! She holds a special place in my heart and many others. She has a heart of gold, working with autistic children as a Behavioral Analyst, and even more special to me because before she left for SoCal, I was blessed to have her work with my son! We had so much fun celebrating this milestone in her career. Congrats Ayda, you so deserve this and I am so proud of all your dedication and hard work. You the real MVP!
The reality is that the number of Black men who enter and graduate from college is grossly lower than men and women from all racial backgrounds. Huge kudos to the men who grind it out by any means necessary until that degree is confirmed. Shop now for your college graduate.
When you're the first in your family to do what statistics say can't be done a feeling of unapologetic pride follows. If you're the first to graduate college from a low-income background then you know the feeling. Contact me to order your graduation t-shirt now.

"I'll never labelled all of those things that sorrounded with me, I'm happy that I'm in Saudi, clean places in Dharan, Dammam and quite land that has no war, there's no crowded people! People today when I saw their Instagram, hey I'm here in like this like that, look at my new bag, look at where is my location! It seems like people always boss of what they have instead of sharing those things that it can change the world, well It's their own life and who am I to change their mindset? As a person who live in this planet, I'll never appreciate who's branded, who's famous, who's trend, who's popular and who's the most expensive. One thing that I learn as a Philanthropist, one thing that I learn as fighting for human rights, one thing that I learn reading bible, Curran or any religious books; I realize that God created the world to be equal, humans are humans, clothes are clothes, parks are parks, buildings are buildings, places are still places, fat or thin still human beings that's the reason why I've always say to myself that I'm priceless and I don't have worth as a person. 🤗 God created me in this planet, that's the most precious gift that God's given to me! Always worth what you have, you can't stop the feelings of contentment if simple blessing you won't appreciate! Better contented if you are in the right path! You better contented on what you have this time! I hope no matter what you have right now is just to appreciate the life that God's given to you. Just give your trust to God and he will give what you deserve. 😘"

Everybody wants to get to the top quickly, yet not everybody is willing to put in the consistent work required to get there.
How high you climb as a non-traditional student is directly proportionate to how much you are willing to endure and overcome along the way.

I didn't think I wanted this.
I knew tech would give me a flexible life I so desired. I enjoy being impulsive.. creative..adventurous. .
I was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey and went to college in Philly (only 25 mins away from home). I lived with my parents all through college. I knew I didn't want to stay in Jersey. I wanted to move around, live in a different state/timezone. Another thing I knew was I didn't want to be a military spouse. .
Hahah but then I met this beautiful man, had a few dates, then figured out he was airforce. And I thought to myself, 'I'm going to marry this man'. .
Anyway, I told my job that I was moving to Oklahoma after our wedding in June. I reassured them I enjoy what I'm doing and the company and would like to work from home in Oklahoma. And they agreed! We got married this past June and we moved to Oklahoma in July. .
If you're looking to work from home:
1. Find a company who already has people working in different time zones/countries.
2. Find a company with a strong belief in work life balance
3. Have some time/experience under your belt. 4. It helps to have a unique skill. Have something great to offer your company. Something special they don't want to let go.
Life is good 🌞

Let this be a reminder to myself to never give up on hope. It took me five years to obtain this associate degree from San Diego City College. There were countless of moments when I was ready to call it quits and drop out of college. When I fought back through those doubts, I had to endure walking through some of San Diego’s roughest neighborhoods, just to get to my night classes. I’m grateful that this associate degree had opened many doors for me, such as earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Now, I’m just weeks away from earning a Ph.D. - -
If you are a non-traditional student, your perspective also needs to be non-traditional.
Refuse to see what others see, and learn to see beyond the limitations and obstacles that stop those around you.
Many look at my family and see limitations...I see...
