Still figuring out what this season holds, and where I am heading with photography...but for now I'm excited that I get to learn and try and fail and experiment in all sorts of different design areas.💃🏽
Sorry for being so absent lately. It's been a busy few weeks here in Berlin (the good kind of busy) and I don't have all the tools yet to get back to my photography work... but as soon as it's all settled and sorted, I'll be exploring how to live & create in a city as a nature kid, so keep your eyes peeled👀
Went kayaking and canoeing today, and I am beyond happy not having to miss out on being in nature, doing all the fun stuff despite living in a city.
Also a big hallelujah for the fact that my camera didn't get soaked while paddling across the lake🙌🏽. Pictures coming once I got that laptop issue solved... Was the sun shining wherever you were at today, too? ☀️
Slowly transitioning from summer into fall,
from small town living into big city life.
So get ready for a lot more urban landscapes and slightly different aesthetics coming your way... stoked to dive into this new adventure!
So I've been kinda absent here for a hot sec... Things have been crazy and partly I don't fully realise what's happening yet.✨
For all who've been wondering what the heck I'll be doing next: In a few days time I'll move my belongings all across Germany to see what I can bring to a colourful city like Berlin, and to study Communications design there. 👩🏻🏫
It all came together super short notice, and there is a lot more to the story and it's not even finished yet. But so much for now.
Dream boldly, trust fiercely and wait patiently. It's worth it.
How could you NOT fall in love with Switzerland?? We went to a lake in the mountains a while back, and it was as stunning as it sounds.
Forever grateful that I grew up close to this place.💛
What do you love about your home?
Thankful for what has been, hopeful for what is to come.
A friend quoted the other day: "God always takes a long time to act suddenly." And as things are starting to come together very quickly now, this feels very true.
I cannot wait to explore all facets of the next chapter...🙌🏽💃🏽☕️ 📷 by my wonderful friend @lichtspieladineschweizer
Trying to take in ALL the mountainscapes, before I'll be moving to somewhere a lot flatter than my beloved South... At least getting places will get easier when you don't have to constantly hike up a hill am I right?! •
What do you prefer? 🏔🏃🏽♀️ #mountainkid
"But I have ever been a seeker, and the world seems to me made to wander in, rather than abide in one corner of it and never see what the rest has in store."
// Henry van Dyke, the Source
Snapped by the wonderful @lichtspieladineschweizer 💛
Who can guess what that shiny thing on the right is? 🤔👇🏾
Why do you create? •
I've been having interesting conversations with fellow photographers lately, talking about the WHY behind their work. I love how we all do the same thing, but for many different reasons, which makes this field so much richer and full of diversity. •
For me, photography has always primarily been about seeing. Perceiving a situation a certain way, searching for beauty in whatever setting and displaying that to the world. Opening my eyes to the beauty in front of me instead of focusing on the ugly, gives me an incredible amount of hope, and my desire is to pass that on to the viewer. ✨
But enough about me, I'd LOVE to hear why YOU create?
What is the WHY behind your passion, be it design/ videography 🎥/ flowers💐/ art 🎨/music 🎼? P.S.: Going forward, it's on my heart to particularly strengthen young businesses and entrepreneurs through my art, so if that resonates, shoot me an email, and let's see what we can create!
Usually I'm quite chill, but every now and then it happens that I'm tempted to start running around like a headless chicken 🐥, which is mostly neither helpful nor productive. Trying to speed things up that aren't in my hands just never works, as I found out in my 21 years of life experience... anyone else tried that one?👋🏽
Slowing down can be such a challenge, but when meeting a friend turns into a sleepover including rooftop dinner, star watching, and witnessing flashes of lightning dancing across the night sky, it becomes a lot easier... 💫
Go do something you love this weekend!
Dropped off 2 rolls of film this week and CAN NOT WAIT to see the results...🙌🏽
Partly can't even remember what I shot coz it takes me forever to finish a roll, but I guess that'll just make the surprise sweeter right?🤷🏻♀️ Does that happen to anyone else?👋🏽
It's been one of the best summers so far. I got to hang out with old and new friends, felt more creatively inspired than ever, and explored this area that I call home.
Super thankful for days of fun, rest and simply enjoying life. ☀️
During all of it, I was in this wrestle of finding peace in a season where lots was unsettled and hidden in the unknown. It took a decision not to worry about my tomorrow, and to allow myself to rest and enjoy until I see the next step ahead of me.
Today finally felt like a step towards my "next", and it's exciting and it's scary, and I'm sure you'll hear more soon. Lots is still up in the air, but, we're getting there.
Don't be afraid of the unknown, often it holds so much more than we could ever imagine. (Totally preaching it to myself...)
Happy Saturday friends!✨
What are you up to this weekend? •
I'd love to get back into reading more books, especially novels... but sometimes it feels like I have so much to catch up on that I don't even know where to start 🙈📚
What's been your all time fave? What's the one book I should read before I die?
Please help a friend out 👩🏻🏫📔
"The best thing we can do for others, is being the healthiest version of ourselves." //John Stickl
Came across this quote and it got me thinking...
What am I doing to make sure that I am becoming the healthiest version of myself? How am I taking care of my body & my mental health, and how do I make sure I live a well balanced life? 🤔
You can't pour out from an empty cup. And that is why it's so important that we take care of ourselves, rest well, fill our minds with hopeful thoughts, and leave things behind we no longer want to carry.
It's a continuous process and we're all on a journey, but maybe there is one little step you can do today, to become a healthier version of yourself.
Let's do this, shall we?!👊🏽

Can we please just take a moment to appreciate this stunner of a lady.
If you knew her you'd love her even more, she's kind, ambitious, curious, and always up for a little dance party 💃🏽 🙌🏽💃🏽
Haven't seen her face half as much as I'd loved to in the past few years, but I'm always thankful for friendships that stay the same no matter how many oceans are between us, and forgive my inability to respond to messages in a timely manner... big love💛
(Sorry for the cheese 🧀)
Dug out my mum's old 35mm film cameras a while back, and I am falling more and more in love with it. You learn so much about exposing when you know you can't really edit the images, there is much more intentionality required than in digital, and the anticipation after you finished a roll of images is priceless.
It slows down the whole process of photography, which is a beautiful thing in this fast paced world.
Digital is exciting with it's endless possibilities, but there is just something about getting back to the roots of this craft.
If anyone has a fun film project in mind, I'm always up for a collab! 🎞
It's looking a lot like fall these days.🍂
Gets me excited about cozy nights by the fire 🔥 , trees turning golden 🍁 and stepping into new adventures that are yet to be uncovered...
Swipe right & tell me a joke that made you laugh as hard as me while jumping around between these trees 🌲 🙃🌳
(I can actually never remember ANY jokes, or just half of them, which makes them very non enjoyable for everyone who has to listen... 🤷🏻♀️ But I'm sure some of you are way more skilled at that than I am)
Couldn't post yesterday coz a migraine knocked me out all afternoon 😖
But had a fun morning, so keep your eyes peeled for some sweet views and old castle ruins👀🏰
(Anyone else having problems with frequent migraine attacks, especially after being out in the sun or climbing a mountain? ...I really hope none of you do, but if so, any effective remedies you know of?)
Still remember how my art teacher used to tell us off for painting grey mountains. "Mountains always look blue in nature", he said...
Well I guess he was right, so here's a pic of some blue mountains of the Black Forest. Life is confusing y'all, don't you think?🤷🏻♀️
My happy meter always goes up to 100000 when I'm in the mountains. ⛰
You never know what exactly is awaiting you at the end of a long, winding road, but most certainly you will find some sweet views👌🏽I just love it.
Highly recommend adventuring in your back garden. Just go out there and explore the areas you think you are super familiar with, you'll be surprised how much there is to discover still! ...And if you need a buddy to roam around with, I'm your gal!🙋🏻📞
Noticed a few new faces around recently, so I thought I'd take a second to reintroduce myself😊
Hi, I'm Antonia, some friends call me Leanne (which comes from my Chinese name 禮恩). Have you ever wondered where I'm from? ...Well let me solve the mystery: I'm half Taiwanese, half German, and grew up in the deep south of Germany. 🇹🇼 🇩🇪 •
Always wanted to become a graphic designer, but after my 'Abitur' somehow lots of photography opportunities opened up and I kinda slipped into it. It's become a huge love of mine and a big part of life in the passed three years. (Check out @lichtspieladineschweizer and @sofortbild to see who has played a massive role in that, forever grateful for their investment💛). 📷
Two years ago, I moved to Northern Ireland to volunteer for a Christian Charity as Media assistant (basically doing a bunch of graphic design, photo- , and video work) and now I'm back in Germany figuring out where life will lead me next...😊
If you have any questions, want to have some creative fun together or want to chat about photography/ life/ ... over coffee, please shoot me a message or comment below! And tell me something about yourself, I'd love to get to know you! 😊
"I can see your heart in everything you've done
Every part designed in a work of art called love."
A very imperfect image but for some reason I really love it...maybe because I secretly wish the path ahead was as clear as the one in the photo...🤷🏻♀️ #butremember#werenotafraidoftheunknown
Seriously considering if I should just become the captain on a boat cruising across a Swiss lake... 👩🏻✈️
I'd make all passengers listen to traditional Swiss music and do a wee dance on deck 💃🏽
Who would be on board? ✋🏾
Heavy rain hit us all by surprise so we hid under a bridge and I snapped a pic of the coolest man in town casually smoking his pipe.
The colourful spots in the water are people with their "Wickelfisch" - a wet bag shaped like a fish 🐟 that holds all your belongings and doubles as a floating device as you let the current carry you down the river. It's no doubt the best thing to do on a hot summer day (which is basically every day rn). ☀️ Only really realised how unique this seems to be when I started travelling and noticed that it's not a thing in most places ... anyone ever encountered this phenomenon elsewhere? :D 🐟 🏊
🇨🇭 Basel 🇨🇭 Biking to this beautiful Swiss city is one of my favourite things to do in summer. 🚴🏼 As soon as you get there, you see people chilling by the river, cooling down in the river, and enjoying the views on the river (on a cute ferry boat) 🚤
... All the summer vibes ☀️ 🙌🏽
Always feels like a wee holiday.
You don't need to go on big travels to find adventure. People often said they envied me for all my travels and the beautiful places I got to visit all the time. But the reality is, that for the last 2 years I was working 9-5, not paid, 6 days a week. I had to intentionally put time aside to go explore and find the best spots around, and I had to find cheap options to do so. I am super thankful that I got to live in beautiful places and always experienced crazy provision, but I also believe that anywhere in this world you can find beautiful places and there is always a way to get there. There are really no excuses. Just go out and explore. 🗺
I could probably fill a lake with my sweat by now, the heat in Germany just doesn't end ☀️ 💦 Not complaining tho. Gives me a good excuse to jump into rivers and lakes all the time🏊🏼♀️
(Caption not in any way related to the photo, except that the day it was taken, I was sweating like crazy too. There you go🤷🏻♀️)
I love how every place has it's own distinct architecture. Different people build, value and see their homes differently and it's so interesting to observe how architecture gives away parts of the culture. 🏠
Walking through dreamy little French towns might be one of my favourite things ever, and sometimes I imagine myself living in an old, half -timbered house next to a boulangerie where I'd get a fresh baguette every morning... 🥖 💭
What's your dream house?
Being back home means lotsa hangs with this wee munchkin hiding between a bunch of flowers. 🙌🏽🌻 Also means that you'll see a lot less ocean and a lot more mountains on here... hope you're as pumped as I am 🏔💃🏽
This girl is back!🙋🏽
It's been good to keep the phone off for a week, but I'm glad to be back! Tbh, sometimes I really missed this wee app, not because I felt like I am missing out on what's happening, but because I genuinely love this platform.
I feel like we tend to only talk about the negative aspects of social media, but I am hugely thankful for all the great things it brings: it's a fab place to share stories, get inspired, and connect with likeminded folk. I genuinely love it. 💛
What are the things you appreciate about social media? •👇🏾
Also, I am usually not one for cheesy sunset pictures (swipe right to see), but this time it would've been rude not to...
Germany, it's good to be back👌🏽
