My newest piece and what may be my last painting while in Newfoundland. A photo I took a few weeks ago of my dad gutting a codfish.
A couple hours in and I love how loose it is and feels. I was sad to leave it home as I'm out of town for the weekend. It's a good thing when you feel sad to leave your painting, right? That means you're somewhere on the right path?

@adriaandiedericks "My work attempts to mimic the expansive landscape of my youth. This is evident in the manner in which my practice continually spills forth from drawing into three-dimensionality. Through sculpture I attempt to manipulate the messages inherent to scale and material, having worked in povera substances such as found wood and plastic, often solidifying it in permanence through the use of bronze”.
