Happy Thursday! Just wanted to hop on here and share this super cute tabletop sign I just added to my Etsy shop! They make super cute stocking stuffer gifts!🎅🤶 They approximately measure 5x6 inches.
Can y'all believe Christmas is almost here!? Its my favorite time of the year decorating the house and making gingerbread houses with the little tykes! 🎄☃️❄
Sweet Dreams Chamomile Latte
•1 chamomile tea bag
•honey, to preferred sweetness
•1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
•2-3 drops of vanilla bean paste (can also use vanilla extract)
1.Put water on to boil. Fill a mug halfway with boiling water. Steep your chamomile tea bag in the hot water in the mug for 2-3 minutes.
2.Meanwhile heat the almond milk in a deep microwave safe bowl for 1 minute in your microwave. Add in the vanilla. Using a small immersion blender or milk frother, beat the milk until it is very frothy, about 2-3 minutes. Immediately pour over your chamomile tea. Sweeten with honey or the sweetener of your choice, if desired.
**If you aren't a fan of froth, just mix the vanilla into the hot almond milk & then pour over your tea.
Enjoy and relax!
I distinctly remember the day each of these boyish grins came into my life. I look at each of their faces and a specific part of my heart warms and feels more alive than it ever did before they got here.
Tomorrow I leave for six whole days and it’s been killing me for weeks in anticipation. I’ve never even been away from Thomas a full 24 hours!! ❄️❄️And then today happened. Currently 35 degrees with an even colder wind chill, so my boys decided not to play outside and were instead going crazy indoors. I’m pretty sure I now know the meaning of the phrase, “bouncing off the walls”. 🤣🤪Maybe God knew I needed a gentle nudge and made them extra crazy today.
Oh well, nothing a little Target and Starbucks hot cocoa can’t fix!!!
This was the worst and therefore the best week to launch my #empathyexperiment . More in another post about this #heavyweek
In any way, during the last 18 months my little 👨👩👧👦 and me had a lot of #badluck and #healthissues Luckily only temporarily but this time WAS and still IS very #empathyconsuming and #stressful
My mum in law said on our 2 last #badluckoccasions "Maybe your 🏡 is cursed 😈?!" and proposed us to offer an animal to get over it. As my 👨🏻 & I could not even imagine to kill a 🐓 we put it down (so far). But sometimes I think she might be right with the 😈, and I think I should check other #naturalexperiments and #believes I could test 😉👿
It started actually with me early 2017 walking on a Lego or similar and getting a strain. As I was just newly #secondtimepregnant I could not take medicine except basic painkillers nor xray #whatdoesntkillyou ..
Then 👨, on a #coldwinterday had a car "accident" just on our doorway (with my car). What he thought costs us max. 500€ was 1200€ i.e. the value of my old #2001renaultclio 😢 Happily nothing else was hurt and Leo had #astorytotell to his nanny and friends that morning 🤣
Then again me: Since my #fourthmonth of #pregnancy in March I had major #insomnia problems. I work 2 days per week in🗼and take #publictransports#rerc (from door to door ~1h30). I start to work for 🇫🇷 early at 8am so I need to get up ~6am. This started to be complicate and also my #bodyandsoul were tired because of last vacation being more than 6 months ago 🇱🇧☀️ and the moving 🚚
In addition contractions started and I wasn't allowed to do sports nor carrying #ournumberone anymore. I didn't feel well anymore. No #naturalmedecin helped, but honestly I also forgot sometimes to take it. My obstetrician had #nokindofempathy , she didn't want to put me on sick leave even if she knew of these issues and that it started to drive me crazy.. I wanted to continue to #performasusual (#beingaperfectionist 😐) but I simply could not. Some mornings it was very hard to concentrate when I didn't sleep at all or 1-2h max.😪
I dedicate this 3/7 #empathyexperiment post to my 👨🏻 who always supported me in this journey ❤
Oaty Mocha Hot Smoothie
•15 g (0.5oz - about 4 small chunks) dark chocolate, chopped
•240 ml (1 cup) unsweetened almond milk
•1 oz shot of espresso or 1 tsp instant coffee granules mixed with 2 tbsp water
•3 tbsp rolled oats
•½ a ripe medium sized banana
•1 tsp chia seeds
•2 tbsp cold water
1.Add the dark chocolate to a jug, pour in the milk and the espresso. Microwave until the mixture is warm and the chocolate has melted (you can do this in a pan if you prefer).
2.Place the oats, banana, hazelnuts, chia seeds, the water and approx. a fifth of the milk mixture to your smoothie maker or blender. Add in an extra splash of cold water if you think the liquid is too warm.
3.Blend on high for a minute until the oats and chia seeds have been completely incorporated.
4.Whilst it's blending, further heat the rest of the milk mixture until hot, but not boiling.
5.Pour the blended oat mix into your cup, stir in the milk/chocolate mix and serve.
