Happy 90th, Mickey!🎉🎈✨
I've been experimenting a little more with creative coding, and thought I'd dedicate this one to Mickey turning 90 years young this year!💕 Typical red, black and yellow Mickey colours🎨 Love Disney and love Mickey💕
Day 2/100 #100daysofcode Today I realized how much I lack time management.
If there was a job title for professional procrastinator I would be employee of the month!
Following a routine commitment is something that takes serious dedication. I freelance 12 hours a day, workout for an hour, practice coding for two hours, then study for my Google certification for another 2 hours. Can't forget about eating and all the obligations in life in between! Thankfully I'm privileged to be in the proper point of my life where I can dedicate the remainder of my time and energy into my passion. Not having any kids and a demanding family or a stressful job certainly helps.
Although the 100 days of code challenge is a one hour commitment, I feel that's never enough time. One hour goes by quickly when you're having fun!
A part of me wishes I started this challenge on a weekend so I could play catch-up and knock out the basic quickly so I can get into the good stuff. Embarrassing enough to say I got stuck on the position of main tags and proceeded to spend half an hour on stack overflow. (Harmless plug to #stackoverflow for saving my life tonight.) From there I proceeded learning about deploying Java web apps which is way over my head from where I currently am lol.
Moving forward I plan on keeping my concentration set on the coursework. The more I can remain focused the faster I'll be able to get the basics over and done with. It's like those lame college classes you have to take but question why you have to take them. >. > I love learning and there's so many ideas and questions, but I know I need to settle down before I get confused which can be detrimental just starting out. I need to focus on retaining all the information I can since I know the horror stories of missing a semicolon lol.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Tuesday and hopefully you got some tacos! What helps you when you feel like you're running out of time?
