Our featured vendor this week is Jack Jones of @jonestonesdj • Jack started his company while attending Syracuse University’s School of Music in the early 1990’s. It all began working for a few local bars, dance clubs, and roller skating rinks. It turned into people asking him to perform at a parties or weddings. The rest is history! • Jack Jones earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in music from Syracuse, and he believes his knowledge of music, in addition to being an actual musician, separates his company from the competition. He has also been "The Voice of the Pride of the Orange” at the Carrier Dome during the last twenty football seasons and is excited to be traveling to Orlando to announce at The Camping World bowl on December 28th! • This is Jones Tones DJ's 25th year in Central New York and it makes them proud to say that two of their employees have been with them for over twenty years each! Being in business for over twenty years allows them to be familiar with banquet facilities, their staff, and itineraries which is a huge benefit to brides & grooms. • Your DJ has to be an accomplished MC, and wedding coordinator. The DJs job isn’t just to provide entertainment but to also help you with the planning of your event. Plus, great equipment and the ability to read a crowd will pack a dance floor every time! • Jack Jones has great advice for brides & grooms who are still looking for their DJ: “I would encourage brides to plan with your DJ. You make the ultimate decisions, but we are there to help guide and suggest along the way. For an example - We have seen our couples place tables filled with older relatives next to the DJ. We have seen venues and couples place the DJ in the corner of the room instead of the center. When do you dance with your parents, throw the bouquet, or cut the cake? How do these events flow the best at a wedding and why? Who picks out the music? These are just some of the things we help to plan and answer.” ...
Delivered this gorgeous gallery this weekend. There is simply something SO romantic and intimate about an elopement; just you guys, the officiant....and me to capture your FRESH moments of newlywedded bliss! 💕

Select Receptions is a Syracuse, NY based DJ service specializing in FUN, custom tailored wedding receptions. They focus on just ONE wedding per date, and cater directly to a client’s tastes, never using a cookie-cutter “cheesy” wedding playlist. Select Receptions’ unobtrusive style of making announcements has made them a hit with CNY couples who want someone to coordinate and MC the important moments, without making it about the DJ. Your guests didn’t come to see the DJ/MC, they came to party!
Filling dance-floors since 2009, owner Kirk Rothrum is passionate about DJing, and has been a DJ since his high-school days when he’d rock house parties with 2 turntables. Fun fact: He’s done sound-design on releases by Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Rihanna and more, and was even featured in Scratch Magazine! “Now that I’m settled-down with a family, weddings are much more rewarding. It offers the unique balance of a FUN job, while also helping someone celebrate a huge milestone in their life they’ve sometimes dreamed about for years”. Kirk has some awesome advice for couples who are still searching for their wedding DJ; “Whoever you hire as your DJ, welcome their opinions on a few factors that you may not have considered related to the DJ’s role. This includes aspects such as Room Layout, Timeline, etc. If you want your wedding to POP with a packed dance-floor, an experienced DJ will have some feedback on the best way to set the tone for that well ahead of time.” It’s always great to know that the wedding professional you’re using loves what they do. When asked about what Kirk’s greatest experience has been so far, he said: "We work with some awesome couples, and every wedding season is full of amazing highlights. There are too many great experiences to list!" We love being able to connect you with the best wedding professionals in your area! You can contact Select Reception DJs at email@example.com

it’s definitely a day late but everyday I’m thankful 🥰
thankful for a husband who takes on my crazy ideas like building farmhouse tables for the wedding. and after seeing these amazing pictures from @rachellizphotography my heart is so full at how talented he truly is at making me happy. and building things. we walked into @homesteadblessings for the first time in early 2017 and all I could picture was farmhouse tables in that venue
thankful to see these pictures and our actual vision come to life is mind blowing. I searched on Pinterest for building plans and we made it happen. we actually built tables for our wedding. who does that?! we do
it truly is magical and beautiful to look at these tables. I miss them so much but it makes my heart so happy that every future bride will have the opportunity to use them for their vision. that every bride will get to see what I saw and not have to go through the crazy idea of building them
thank you @itsliamcald for always making my dreams come true, @anawhitediy for DIY plans, @rachellizphotography for capturing it, and @homesteadblessings for making a forever home
