Usually grading lenses doesn't include using probably one of the most powerful desk lamps out there, but I have high standards. There was some haze in the rear cemented element of this Summicron-C 40mm f2, so I decided to clean the lens the best I could. I dismantled from the front, to access the element that had the most haze. The shots follow a progression from start to finish. I noticed the front name plate/filter mount was slanted, this lens had a hard life. I saw the repair person tried to anchor it slanted, since it's cosmetic and doesn't affect the lens config I left it alone. I also had a spare Summicron 35mm f2 V3 focus tab that I put on. The lens looks way cleaner than it started with, there's some very light residual haze, probably between the cemented elements that I won't get, ever.
Next is some test rolls.

Did you know that it is actually bad to use alcohol to clean your glasses? So then what do you use to clean your glasses? We offer a cleaning solution that is safe to use. It not only cleans your lenses, but gives them an anti static film, that prevents dust and lint. You can also use a drop of blue dawn liquid soap, which is great for active individuals and removing any excess grime. Lenses are porous and alcohol is too harsh and will damage them. We want you to have the best vision possible. Clean glasses, clear vision. 👓 #funfactfriday
What do you see? 🤓🤓🤓
Better yet, what to do choose to see?🧐🧐🧐🧐 You either see a windshield full rain drops 💦 or a clear windshield
Vision is defined as the ability to see: sight or eyesight.
What if told you that your vision will only go as far as what you see. In this season of your life have you allowed your sight to be obstructed? Do you need to clean the lenses so that you can see clearly? Does your vision need to be corrected to realign yourself on things that will allow you to grow, develop and flourish in your marriage, relationships with your family and friends or at work.
Personally, this season of my life I have been through a huge adjustment: moving to a new city, planning a wedding, moving apartments, waiting on documents, filing documents, readjusting my routine, learning a new lifestyle and as a newly-wed adjusting to another person’s way of living. Its been an ongoing learning process and I’ve been emotionally charged full of anger, disappointment, joy, love, loneliness, frustration and peace all at one time.
However, through this season I have realized I was focussing to much on what was obstructing my view and I had to realign priorities and clean the lenses so that I had the ability to see properly again. It was not easy, but I had to consciously choose to focus on what was ahead than what my current situation appeared to be, after all seasons do pass.
So now, let us choose to see clearly. Let us use the tools of wisdom, advice, or people to help us refocus on to what is ahead rather than looking to the rain drops that keep falling. 📸cred: @chummey0
