Another #plate , this time more of dirty #porcelain than true #marbling . At some point in the future both kids might be well and back at school, house sorted, puppy on a break from destructive behaviour and I’ll get to glaze my clay babies 😜
Bowls nestling into each other for the winter.
It is a good time of year for nested bowls. I'm often drawn to throwing them in Fall, when I start bundling up to stay warm. Don't they look quite cozy siting there, hugging each other?
❄️❄️❄️Shop Update Now LIVE❄️❄️❄️
I had a stressful 24 hours waiting for Derek to cool enough so I could check on his content (after he shut himself off with an error code yesterday😣). A malfunctioning kiln is one of the most stressful things a potter can encounter in their working life. Kilns are like these magical cupboards in which you put grey, useless, matte forms of dry mud, do a little prayer, pace up and down for 30 hours and then *hopefully* pull out glossy objects of beauty, function and joy OR potentially pull out a brownish mess of wasted hours and hours of work. And they always seem to go wrong at this time of year! What is up with that?😑
BUT I am thankful to whichever kiln god was looking down on me for this last firing. 🙏🙏🙏Despite the error code, Derek reached temperature and gave me a batch of work with all the colours of a human iris, possibly the batch of which I am most proud☺️
Being my penultimate shop update before Christmas it was a relief to say the least. I’d love it if you took a peak. Link my bio 💕
🍂🌰🍁🐿#coriolekeramik
***AUCTION CLOSED*** #childreninneed
Good morning instafolk. Today is Children in Need day, so myself @yorkshireceramics and @amythomasceramics have decided to auction off one of our pieces for the charity. *What you're bidding on*
I'm auctioning this foxy little number (shown in the first two images). It's one of my doodle mugs which I throw on the wheel and illustrate by hand, so you'll be getting a piece that's unique. IMPORTANT: The other two pieces in the third and fourth images are being auctioned off separately by @yorkshireceramics and @amythomasceramics. If you'd like one of those you'll need to bid on their grid. *How it works*
Bidding starts at £10 GBP. You'll need to leave your bid in the comments below in GBP. You can bid as many times as you like. The auction will end at 9pm GMT Sunday 18th Nov 2018 and the person with the highest bid in the comments will be notified by DM with details of how to pay. The highest bidder will have 48hrs from the end of the auction to pay for it. If the money isn't received in that time, the next highest bidder will have the opportunity to buy the mug for their top bid. I will cover the cost of p&p UK only.
I've listened to so many audio clips of amazing children on #chrisevansbreakfastshow this week and I'm not ashamed to admit that I've shed a few tears in the car on my way to work! If the money raised from my little auction makes just one child's life a bit brighter, then it'll be worth it.
Happy bidding people🤞love Karen xxx
Seriously can’t believe 160+ of you have taken the effort to share this journey with me. THANK YOU SO MUCH 😱 Here is the FIRST ever #potswithpride mug with a handle. This is just a complete play around piece but one I know I’m going to keep forever. Not bad for a first handle attempt right?
