Congratulations to Me and the other Graduates.
This photo is not of me about to fall.
This is me after I saw my mother after crossing that stage
I ran to @elfreidahinds only to be told you can't leave the carpet.
This is the look of happiness because my Mommy saw what her hard work and sacrifice helped me accomplish.
Four years of headaches, tears, blood, sweat, rain, heat, shivering in LLT, sweating in LLT.
I did it.
I was about to give up several times @serafinegittens can tell you that.
Then I thought of the day Nhyia said Auntie I want to be like you when I grow up. I thought of when @licig26 call me vex saying Carla you got my child freaking out about exams.
I have people watching me. I have people supporting me every step I make.
I can't give up.
I failed a lot.
But I can't give up.
And I didn't give up.
I MADE IT!!!!!
I HAVE A LLB
(didn't get honours by a oof) but I have it!!!!! BIGGEST THANKS go to my family especially my mommy and Carra she gave me pep talks all the time.
My friends, Thank You too cause yall made me say Carla we gine have some fun these last 2 years.
And everybody who prayed for me every step of my way and continues to pray for me all now!!
Thanks to my Mommy, Sisters, Dre , Nikita @cherry_cashmere and my father for cheering me yesterday.
Embarasada iva ala escuela mi amor, me desvelaba hacer tarea contigo en mi pansita, pero lo hice mi amor lo logre por ti, Todo lo que hago, lo hago por ella. I did it mama. Y esto es solo el comienzo. #classof2018
Congratulations Class of 2018! We did it! 🙌🏾😬 I wouldn’t have made it if it wasn’t for my amazing mother and daughter the love I have for those two is unconditional! I’m forever grateful for the support they’ve given me. Thank you to all my family and friends for all of the encouraging words and support throughout my journey of nursing school! This is only the beginning! Love Nurse Cina 👩🏽⚕️ #graduation#nurse#blackgirlmagic#classof2018
Since I’m rarely ever on time, now is probably the perfect time to reflect on 5 unbelievable years in @nuigalway - via @uottawa. Through ups and downs, friends forever. Thanks to the best parents in the world! #ClassOf2018#PrecastTomorrow#ConcreteDreams
Shout to one of my longest realist friendships @love_cari our story is so funny I use to not like you and you use to be mean to me along with the other lil shits we grew up with until we had a school lock down in 6th grade and we took the time to actually talk and get to know one another to later found out you’re just as ludicrous as me💛 we grew closer when we worked together in our high school years, I always looked forward to weekends at the commissary so we could walk our happy asses to the PX and sing high school musical till our hearts content lol. Fast fwd we have became mothers and we’re in college damn it!! I’m so proud of you!! One step closer to success I hate that I couldn’t stay for pictures but I’m still sending all my love and support. Everyone this is the most Hispanic white girl I know and to have heard someone say MY FRIEND is “privileged” I’m shutting that shit down now, Cari don’t ever let anyone ever say you never worked for the shit you have! This degree wasn’t handed to you cause of your skin tone or who you or your parents know, YOU EARNED IT!! And if I hear that shit again you tell the next hoe she can square tf up!! I love you!! Can’t wait to be in Hollywood next year for my graduation!! Now slide me some pharmaceuticals now that you a white coat ms future Medical Assistant lol j/k 🤗 #realfriends#fuckwhiteprivilege#hardworkpaysoffs#futureMA#collegemom#proudfriend#childhoodfriend#A1#empoweringwomen#graduationcap#graduate#classof2018#southwestuniversity#medicalmajor

👇🏻 The One Thing you can do to Boost your Mood & Productivity
🙄 The good old Sunday feeling, ever so frequent & when it hits mid-October, it can seem overwhelming at times too. You’ve 100% heard my take on walking already (do it, more of it, all of the walking, genuinely) so I’ll save you another piece on the gazillion benefits – there’s honestly far too many to recount. But it’s definitely worth considering a few reasons why you’re not at your best right now.
🥗 Sleep, eating not so well definitely hitting Sainsburys far too often & maybe the occasional (weekly, every other day) few pints with your mates. These are standard & as a young 20 year old, who doesn’t slip up on the above? Honestly though, the one thing that changes things for me is planning. I know for one that the minute I stop thinking ahead when it comes to my fitness, eating or even calendar, things genuinely do fall apart.
😬 One of the reasons you’re perhaps not hitting your physique related goals is a lack of genuine structure, same for your nutrition & definitely for your scheduling. Sundays are ideal though & it’s the perfect time to set things right ahead of a probably pretty manic week too. With so many details it can seem daunting to sort everything out.
🙋🏻♂️ Here’s where help is often needed. When it comes to setting a programme at the gym, getting a coach or even someone a bit more knowledgeable is a huge help. Same for your eating. Planning out meals, trying to work out your calories, post-workout nutrition. Where to start? Don’t be afraid to reach out when you need it most. As guys especially, we can be prone to the old chuck away the instructions & hope for the best approach. It may work sometimes, but often we genuinely spend months even years spinning our wheels & getting the same (lack of) results.
👀 A quote I love & try my best to stand by is that the ‘definition of insanity is doing the same things repeatedly & expecting different results'.
💭 Food for thought as I often say.
👋🏻 And hey, if you’re genuinely stuck with the eating side of things, feel free to drop me a DM. It’s what I’m here for after all.
Pushed myself through Barbados Community College. Pushed myself through undergrad UWI. Pushed myself through Humber College. Pushed myself through UWI again for my MA. Yes I get tired. Yes I wish I had more help. Yes I do get jealous of people and all the support they have. But my reality is, if I dont push myself, who will? So I keep drying my tears and keep pushing. Along the way people lend a helping hand. I appreciate that. Thank you. I'm proud of myself. I'm grateful. It's not easy but it's worth it. Now I need a big ass job with lots of money. lol #beautyandbrains#mastersdegree#masterofarts#creativearts#artseducator#graduation#workhard#celebratehard photocred: @mexthe65er #eyebrowsonfleek#classof2018 @ebccimastudents @ebcci @ebcciuwi

This is super late, but better late than never I guess. So May 11 was graduation. It was the day I've been working towards for the past 13 years and, honestly, it didn't feel like such a big deal at first. At first I thought, "we're just getting a piece of paper, right?" But I keep realizing I am no longer and I never again will be a Bergman High School student. I know everyone says this all the time, but it went by way faster than I expected. I had a lot of fun through those years. I'll admit I was a total loser before my senior year, but this year I actually gained some confidence and expressed myself more so I got the chance to talk to more people and make more lasting memories with people I'll never forget. Some of you I may never see again, but I'm so grateful for the chance I got to make these great long lasting memories with you. I'll miss you all while I'm away, but I love you all and I'll never forget you. Thanks for making my last year at Bergman the best I've ever had. ❤❤
