#tbt to when I visited Hollywood Walk of Fame in the end of April/early May this year when I was at Los Angeles to do housing hunting. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one of my favorite actresses, definitely would like to work with her one day 👌
A little more than a year ago, I “gave birth” to a documentary that took me a month to film and edit. One year on, all I can say is no matter what role you end up being in, part of you will never stop wanting to film. And you will always get an adrenaline rush whenever you think about that daunting yet rewarding video producer life.
On harder days, I leave behind my childlike wonder of the world. My vision turns inward and I begin to count all the things going wrong in my life. Or I ask myself what I’m doing wrong.
But God has an amazing way of turning a dark night into a field full of stars. Then I realize how silly I am to worry when I’ve been given the amazing gift of life.
These words forever changed my world: “Our goal should be to live life in radical amazement... To get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted.
Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible; never treat life casually.
To be spiritual is to be amazed.” ― Abraham Joshua Heschel #10daysinthehimalayas#abrahamjoshuaheschel#cityofstars

. 🇺🇸 La La Land (2016)
• Director: Damien Chazelle
• Genre: #Musical#Romance
Mia, a young aspiring actress, serves lattes to movie stars in between auditions and Sebastian, a jazz musician, scrapes by playing cocktail party gigs in dingy bars, but as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart (Filmaffinity).
“Just one thing everybody wants. It's love. Yes, all we're looking for is love from someone else. To look in somebody's eyes, to light up the skies, to open the world and send me reeling. A voice that says I'll be here, and you'll be alright.” Beautiful, magical and timeless. "La La Land", a film of the romance-musical-comedy-drama genre, tells a story of true love in the rhythm of jazz, taking as a witness to Hollywood that only aspiring actors / actresses can understand. Everything happens in a reality of fantasy that combines the past with the present, which makes hearts beat while the protagonists dance in a sky full of stars. A story that could be that of any dreamer, of one among in the crowd that only expects to be lifted off the ground while watching the world turn, of someone who wants to be rescued and go to the place where only he / she can be. Excellent direction, very good performances (singing, dancing and playing piano gives them a plus to both chemistry throughout the film), great soundtrack that leads to the film from the beginning to the end, spectacular cinematography, filmed like the old movies, with scenes ready to be expressed in pictures, with a basic script but completely original and unpredictable. For those of us who love, feel and vibrate movies, for those who receive them as a food for the soul, "La La Land" is a true gift of the seventh art, a tribute to itself. #lalaland#lovelovelove#cityofstars#dreams#engagementpartylalaland#miaandsebastianstheme
