For as much as Steve and I love to cook and bake, we also love to watch cooking and baking shows every chance we get. The other night, we were watching an episode of Valerie's Home Cooking. The focus of the episode was Cinco de Mayo which featured fabulous recipes from appetizer through dessert. While watching, Steve was racking his brain trying to remember the name of the show that Valerie Bertinelli used to be in. I already knew the answer as it was one of my favorites and I used to watch it daily as a young girl. He caved and let me tell him the answer cause I wouldn't let him Google it, thinking that surely he'd pull it from his brain as it was right on the tip of his tongue. 'One Day At A Time'. The reason I share this, is that today Steve is celebrating 5,475 days of sobriety. 15 years!!! Through the years, when asked by others how he does it...his answer is always 'One Day At A Time'. Steve, congratulations on 15 years worth of 'One Day At A Time'. I couldn't be more proud of you and the decision you made both for yourself and for your family. Your strength, dedication and discipline shine through every single day. For the sacrifices you have made through the years and continue to make every day in so many ways, you are, and always will be...my hero. I love you...always and forever.
