There is nothing better than when we can make a piece, or in this case 2 pieces, for someone’s special day! 🌿
Scroll through to see the before of a church pew we rehabbed into 2 pew benches for a wedding that took place yesterday! ➡️
This was such an amazing piece to redo for this awesome couple. This was their church pew from their family church & they wanted to have 2 pews made out of the original one. 💕
We took the cushion off, cut the pew into 2 matching benches, stripped and sanded the original varnish down. We built new matching ends for the matching pew and stained them a dark walnut 🛠
Thank you so much @jlkweddings for recommending us for such a sweet project! Your weddings are always beyond gorgeous & we feel so honored! ✨
This is the bottom of a church pew I am working on. There are hooks on the bottom of each side. Why do you think they would have hooks on the bottom? I have an idea, but want to see your answers too...
I grew up in Christian school, sitting in pews and learning about a relationship with God and faith.
Now I get to teach my son about his Creator, and one of the ways to do that is bringing him to church and sitting in the pew like I did as a little girl (though mine didn’t have cushions 😆). He sure is a well dressed little guy! We’ve been given so many adorable clothes and outfits for him. I love seeing him looking so handsome ☺️ #LyonGabrielDavis#mamasboy#motherhood#mindfulmotherhood#soloparenting#churchpew#unconditionalLove
Pre-loved and now time for new energy exchange after being discarded x
A donation of a Church Pew for our garden had come in handed for our new little secret seated area, but first time to apply my dads knowledge that he had taught me and his love for wood. A carpenters daughter i shall forever be and this afternoon it was time to sand and get this Pew back to it's original glory and become weather proofed.
Much tlc and energy exchange was focused upon this surprise gem as my fiancé helped sand it back to smooth bare wood....we did laugh at the old piece of chewing gum stuck under the seat...mmh chewing gum at prayer time obviously wasn't a good call for someone, lol x
I felt my dads presence whilst we did this and could hear his voice in the ether as i stood covered in the fine dust, cheering me on, lol, and giving tip bits x Always in my heart for as long as i breathe but for now when it is completed i shall sit and have a mug of tea and think of thee, for i know you would be proud of me attempting this with my mobility. Needless to say i fell asleep for a few hours after the first coat of wood stain and can't move now, but worth giving love back to this ,once, living tree xx
It is officially fall at the Barn and I am so happy about it. This church pew was Robb’s and my latest project. My grandparents gifted it to us from one of the churches they used to attend and I am obsessed with it!! I am trying to decide if we should antique it with the glaze from my last post or just keep it the clean white version that it is now
Hey, friends! I promise I didn’t drop off the face of the earth! I’ve just been super busy with @finderskeepers_market. Last weekend was @vintagepickin and it was an absolute dream!
Our house is almost back to normal... almost. Sadly, our house falls by the wayside during those last few weeks while prepping for the show. I took the opportunity to move a few things around while cleaning. This church pew is usually in our hearth room but has been relocated to my office while we start the next phase of our kitchen/hearth room renovation. I shared in my stories that we found the original bead board ceilings in the kitchen. 😱💗🙌🏻 We are planning [in about 6 weeks] to rip out the drop ceiling! 🙌🏻💪🏼 I cant wait! This will be our first big project since our foyer renovation. I’ll post a few more pictures of the ceiling tomorrow. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
House photos coming slow and steady! Meet my cow, Celine. She’s from @kirklands The church pew is from an Ohio church 1893 and I want it as is. The shutters are from an antique store out here. #churchpew#cows#ohio#antiques
What's your favorite thing about vacation?
My favorites are the memories that are made, and the images that captured those memorable people and places.
I took this serene photo in Bar Harbor, Maine this summer. I sent a digital copy of it to @arttoframes and they made it into art for me, with this acrylic floating frame. I'll always remember standing at the pier with my husband and 3 kids, gazing out at the spectacular views- and now I have a glimpse of that view in my dining room! #arttoframes

“Blessed is she who saves furniture from dumpsters [and curbsides], for she shall embarrass her husband & children but have AMAZING projects!”
Blessed is she who has an awesome husband who turned the car around without a word after he saw his wife’s butt jump off the seat when she saw this on the side of the road.😆Then proceeds to say “it’s in rough shape, but we can fix it up!”😊 Can’t wait!
love the magic Randi @walnutharbor put on this church pew she got here at @eandevintagejunkers . pulled this pew strait out of a barn. Love my pieces and love working with talented people. #churchpew#vintagestyle#foundinabarn
Repurposing old things allows for character to steal the show. This keyhole detail from the old door used to make this church pew bench is truly the highlight of this piece. #farmhouse#repurposedfurniture#churchpew
I still have no idea what I’m doing with these shutters, the front door and the garage. Help me! 😫💩Spam me with all your colour scheme ideas for the outside! (and we are not changing the cream yet!) has to go with a brown roof and cream siding🤞🏻🤞🏻 and GO!
What a perfect way to bring the church feel to your favorite outdoor location! Now, if I could just find an old church pew like that for my house... 🤔 If you live in the Southern Illinois area and have one for sale or know where I can get one, let me know.
A little chalk paint goes a long way! Loving this little church pew I found at a thrift store for under $30 😯 it adds a nice little "mudroom" area to our laundry room! Excited to find some cute fall pillows for it! ⬅️ swipe left for "before"! #farmhouse#mudroom#churchpew#laundryroom
It was this time last year, we had a fun photo shoot here at our newly completed addition! Sweet friend and oh so humble Jill aka Jilli😉(she doesn't know I'm posting this) over at @houseofboysandbeauty brought all of her amazing signs here and we had so much fun staging them! Her beautiful signs made each and every space shine! I cant wait til we can work together again! Give her website(link in her bio) a visit. Not only will you see her amazing work ( handmade non the less😍) but you may see a space you recognize😁 And get yourself a beautiful sign for your next holiday while you're there! You will not be disappointed! .
Our church pew inspired bench gives me all the feels. We repurposed an old door with beautiful patina, character and the keyhole detail ❤️ Inspiration credit to @lizlovegrowswild for her creative repurpose and inspirational style. #repurposed#churchpew#olddoor#farmhouse#diy
