THIS BEAUTIFUL HUMAN WENT AND GOT HERSELF CHRISTENED...
I’m so incredibly proud of her and making this decision all by herself. Violet is one of those children that just has the uncanny ability to bring joy into the hearts of everyone she meets. •
To make such a grown up decision at such a young age shows what an incredible life she has yet to lead! •
Enjoy your life in the church little one. And if you got any questions...your GrandGod Parents are pretty awesome too! 😘
Some of you ask me to do a post about the Christenings of Cambridge kids, and here they are.
Prince George Alexander Louis was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace on 23 October 2013, with Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Earl Grosvenor, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, the Hon, Julia Samuel, William van Cutsem and Zara Tindall serving as godparents. The ceremony used a font that was made for Queen Victoria's first child and water from the River Jordan. The Royal Mint issued a set of commemorative coins to celebrate the christening, the first coins to mark a royal christening in Britain.
On 5 July 2015, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham. Her godparents are her parents' cousins The Honorable Laura Pettman and Adam Middleton, and family friends Thomas van Straubenzee, James Meade, and Sophie Carter. The ceremony used a font that was made for Queen Victoria's first child.
On 9 July 2018, Prince Louis was baptised by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace, using water from the River Jordan according to tradition. Louis's godparents are Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade, Hannah Gillingham Carter, and Lucy Middleton. The christening gown is a replica of the original made for Queen Victoria's first child in 1841. It was created in 2008 and used for every royal christening since. The font was also first used in 1841.
They all wear hand-made replica of the royal christening robe, made by Angela Kelly, the head-dressmaker to the Queen. The original Honiton lace and satin robe that is now 172 years old, was last wore by Lady Louise Windsor in 2004. After years of wearing it had become too fragile to use, so in 2008 the Queen commissioned a replica. It features the same length skirt, elaborate collars and bow as its predecessor. The first baby to wear the replica robe was the son of Earl and Countess of Wessex James, the Viscount Severn.
I love this colour green 🙈 it looks so stunning with a soft blush pink 🌿 this is part of a custom set I created for my new friend Nicole, featuring my favourite burgundy paper. More colour combinations coming soon (need to start my colour charts) 💁🏽♀️
