Wow!!! When it comes down to it, Who is really in control? What a sad season it has been seeing all that has happened this past week, with so many displaced? Can we hope in things, or places? Can we trust in all that is fading? Paul tells us in Romans 8:19 “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; 20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; 23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.” - Since the fall everything around us has been perishing. And just like these people we need to be praying for souls to see and recognize that just as easily as the change of the wind has more control than man, God has made a way for us to spend eternity with Him. Through CHRIST! #malibu#fires#california#christalone#christ#fire#pray#prayers
Patience is a form of faith. It's saying, I trust God. I believe God is bigger than this problem. And I believe that God has His hands in these irritation and that He can use them in my life for good. Faith helps us look at life from God's point of view. FAITH helps us say, "God, what do you want me to learn in this situation?" Not, "why this happen?" Because of faith we no longer need to ask God, "why did I get a flat tire while I was on the way to an important appointment?" Instead we can ask, " what do You want me to learn from this situation?"
I have been reflecting. A lot. Reflecting on the growth and healing that has graciously been going on in my life, but also reflecting on the areas that still require attention.
If you follow me, you’ll know that the last couple updates have been pretty exposing in terms of my physical/emotional health journey. But my physical journey of healing is only the tip of the iceberg of all the healing that has been happening over the last few years. .
In my last post I mentioned my physical struggles with Fibromyalgia that eventually led me to feeling like a failure. This was BIG for me. It literally crippled me...and the last few days I’ve felt the Lord asking me to dig a bit deeper as to WHY that was so huge in my life (and still sometimes a struggle!) And as I am digging, I am learning that just like ancient live oaks are fed by gigantic root systems, big fears about failure are nourished by deep roots too.
The fear of failure. .
It’s my achilles heel. .
I’ve gone through most of my life afraid of failing...
….and yet most of my life feeling like the embodiment of it. .
And here is the irony of this particular fear. .
I fail. All. The. Time.
I fail at keeping a clean house.
I fail at managing my time well.
I fail at having a picture perfect marriage.
I fail working out as often as I should.
I fail at not using food as an emotional comfort.
I fail at always being a patient, empathetic mom.
I fail at being transparent, a good friend, a faithful prayer warrior.
To name a few.
So what is really going on here? .. If you’ve ever gone through the grueling process of digging into your deepest wounds and fears, you know, it isn’t easy. But if there is one recurrent theme I’ve been learning, it is this: .
You cannot heal from something that you haven’t acknowledged. .
And if I get right down to it...my fear of failure is a fear of being known for who I truly am—fragile, broken, and sinful. .
But here is the other irony of this.
Acknowledging the very thing I am afraid of...admitting that I am hopeless, weak, and incapable….is itself the beginning to the real answer. (More in comments below 👇)
Come worship with us Sunday at Frankie’s Barbershop....yes the barbershop! @n_tegrity16 is popping up in uncommon places for one common purpose to raise one voice!
“Nah, man...all I see is tragedy, heartache, disappointment and despair all around me.
I’m still waiting for this so-called God to start showing up and fixing some things.”
“Sure, I am standing on a sphere that is spinning at approximately 1,000 miles per hour, while it rotates around a heat source that is sustaining life as we know it at the perfect temperature - a couple degrees warmer or colder, and we’d all be extinct.”
“And yes, my wife did just have our first child, a beautiful baby girl that was born with two eyes, two ears, ten fingers, ten toes, and a some pretty strong vocal chords.
A baby who instinctively knew within seconds to find my wife’s breast for food - a breast that also instinctively knew to have a food supply ready and waiting for said baby’s hunger.”
“And, I’ll admit, I do have a brain that can process more than a million messages per second, instantly filtering out what I need to know in order to survive and thrive, and developing intelligent thoughts, critical thinking, and emotional feelings, alongside dreams and plans.”
“That’s a little impressive.”
“But, nah, man, I’m waiting for a real miracle” #faith#miracle#miraclemorning#believe#believer#havefaith#trust#hope#jesus#earth#sun#orbit#universe#tuesday
ALL THE GLORY MUST BE TO THE LORD! How many times we take all the glory to ourselves thinking it’s by our power, might, eloquence, skills, beauty.... Vanity of Man!
I dare you to give God all the glory that only him deserve!!!!! Don’t be too busy asking asking asking and seeing all about ourselves that we forget what matters most to God! Song by @pastorwilliammcdowell 🙏🏽
“Contrary to secularist myth, science in practice is innately and irrepressibly religious: it serves either God or idolatry. But one of the features of idolatry is deceit. In this case, idolatry conceals from itself that it is idolatry!” -Vern S. Poythress
It was well over a decade ago I pulled one of these off the shelf of my friend @mattsylvester82 and was immediately captivated by J.C Ryle’s heart. James surprised me with the full set shortly after that (a man after my own heart 😍) I have come back again and again to these books to be taught, refreshed, challenged, and encouraged by this saint. These books then led me to his other works, namely, “Holiness” and “Practical Religion”. He is passionate, compassionate, and very wise. His intimacy with the Triune God leaps off the pages and spurs you to further devotion, single-mindedness, and love for Christ. He doesn’t mince words and goes directly for your heart (he’s thrown a sword or two at me). If you’re looking for a Christmas gift this year I definitely recommend this Commentary Set, I think it should be in the top 10 for every believer💕
Whenever someone passes (celebrity or not), I pray this verse weighs heavier and heavier on our hearts. This life is but a mist, here today and gone tomorrow (James 4:14). All the good deeds we have done add up to nothing if not done to the glory of God with a repentant heart. Is there fruit in your life that reflects the transformed life only found in Christ? My prayer is that God may grant us all repentance and faith in believing in the Son (2 Tim 2:25), in whom there is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:11-12). #StanLee#RIP#GodBeTheGlory#ChristAlone
Coffee with Jesus this morning
I have made excuses and been rushed in my quiet time recently. But today I sat down and couldn’t go any further than just recognizing how worthy he is. Thank you Jesus for sacrificing your own life so I could live in freedom. Thank you for interceding for me. Thank you for surrounding me with your presence even when I don’t take time to recognize it. You are deserving of my words, you are deserving of my actions and you are most definitely deserving of my time.
If I wouldn’t miss coffee with a friend, then I certainly shouldn’t miss coffee with Jesus.
People “living it up” like this have no idea the most darkest time on earth is about to begin... pray for them the gospel of our salvation 📖 1stCorinthians15:1-4 (kjv)
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 3:24-26 KJV
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Ephesians1:13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. #JesusChrist#salvation#Messiah#hepaiditall#eternallife#nothingbuttheblood#itisfinished#gracethrufaithalonesaves#blessed#biblical#redeemed#grace#repent#gift#trustJesus#Christalone#Saviour#prayer#bible#bloodofthelamb#ephesians#fruit#LordJesus#Christreigns#peace

1 To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.
2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary.
3 Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts.
4 Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.
5 Because they do not regard the works of the LORD or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more.
6 Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
8 The LORD is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
9 Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever. (Psalms 28:1-9 ESV)

Many times when we fall we go into a place of deep shame or self-pity, but it’s important to know in those moments that Christ is our righteousness and not our works - good or bad. -
Micah 7:7-8 says “Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me. I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgement for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication” -
If you fall this week, know that in Christ we already have our vindication, go to Him for he is faithful to lead you into the light!
HOUSE OF PRAYER is on this week!
Join us for a time of Soaking, waiting and seeking the face of Jesus! He Himself is all we need. #ChristAlone
