Our favourite place for Chinese. We visited @chopchopwok outlet at Tipu Sultan Road for lunch. The ambiance was pretty good and the waiters were really polite.
It gives the opportunity to customise your own meal. It's basically a 3-step wok. First you need to select the base, then flavour and lastly the protein. You can enjoy the taste you like.
We got Jasmine Rice as a base, Thai flavour to give it both tangy and bit spicy taste along with chicken. The rice were delicious. We ordered one bowl of egg noodles as a base along with spicy Pan Asian flavour and veggies. Pan Asian is our most favourite due to its spice level. Lastly, we got firecracker chicken with rice. The chicken was really tender and finely cooked. The combo of chicken with rice was appetizing. A must try for all Chinese lovers. It's also pocket friendly and the taste is incredibly amazing.

Chicken Chow Mein. Ok so not the prettiest of one pots but it’s a crowd pleaser, particularly with big and small kids. It only takes 15 minutes to prep and cook and comes in at £2 a head.
Play with variations - peppers, green beans, broccoli and mushrooms also work well.
INGREDIENTS for 4
4-6 chicken breasts or thighs sliced (I used thighs)
10cm piece of ginger peeled and chopped
3 garlic cloves crushed or chopped
600g fresh noodles
300g Bean sprouts
5 spring onions sliced
200g mange tour (or a veggie of your choice)
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp tomato purée
Cashew nuts (optional)
Mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, tomato purée, garlic and ginger. Add the chicken pieces. The chicken can be used straight away or left in the fridge until you’re ready.
Heat a large pan, add a lug of veg or coconut oil and add the chicken pieces. Cook for 7 minutes before adding all the remaining ingredients. Stir fry for 5 minutes (add a splash of water if the pan looks dry) and serve!
