Saturday work blues are the worst!! Decided to get over my blues with my favorite dessert place @mocca.pk .
My love for mocca started off two years back in Islamabad and I am so glad it is now in Karachi as well. So I ordered my favourite ‘Forget about molten lava brownie melt’ and Cappuccino.
Just as the name suggests, the ‘Forget about Molten Lava Brownie Melt’ was divine. The brownie was served warm and fresh with the scoop of vanilla chocolate ice cream. I couldn’t stop myself from eating all of it in like 2 minutes. The cappuccino was hard just like I wanted.
And I knew that my Saturday was finally better! .
IT FEELS SO GOOD TO MAKE MUSIC AGAIN.
I feel like for so long I swore off music. It’s hurt me (both physically and emotionally), it led me to depression, for the longest time I was mad at music.
This has been such a huge part of my life & it’s time for me to reconnect with it again. I can’t WAIT for our Christmas Cabaret at the beginning of December!

💟 I love coffee! I look forward to it every morning. Even more when my kids don't sleep and I need to function to pour their damn cereal 😏 (kidding! I love my kids)
💟 I enjoy travelling. My hubby and I go to Vegas once a year! Which is a vacation because going anywhere with kid's is called a 'trip' 😂 ain't no relaxing with kid's.
💟 I have really bad anxiety. Reading and cleaning help me work through it. Anxiety = clean house all the time. #winning
💟 Few of my favorite things: chips & salsa, football, Coors Light, Halloween, snowmobiling, fishing, movies, candles, shopping, my dog, chocolate.
💟 I met my husband at a bar. We've been together almost 10 years. He's my number one. We are way past our crazy bar nights now. The only thing gettin' lit around here is the lamp on my nightstand so I can read 😏 While we love a date night now and then, we love even more to watch movies on a Friday night. They (usually) don't come with a hangover Saturday morning.
🍻 Tell me something about you!
Today (well yesterday at this point) was a good day. My partner got home super early which was really nice given the crazy schedule she's been working. I made a green curry coconut milk stew while they ran errands, then we ate dinner and watched "A Wrinkle in Time" together as a family. Partner and kids made brownies during the movie which was a yummy dessert. After partner and daughter crashed for the night, I tackled writing. I intended to just write 500 words, but knocked out over 3k. My word count is sitting at 38,818. I've been really good with not eating alot of sweets or junk food, but tonight I did munch on a dark chocolate candy bar even though I'd had a small brownie. Definitely cheating tonight, but I don't feel guilty as I know overall my choices are good and 1 night of indulgence isn't going to set me back. .
Today I got to show off Odette's training to my partner. Odette has been super excited about the new speak command and she's definitely showing her puppy side. She's been bouncing around, pawing at me or my chair, jumping up at my chair, wiggling around. To me, she looks like she's filling out more like a Mastiff. She's getting extra folds of skin and hiccuping again as she's getting ready for another growth spurt. Cay says with her proportions changing and her behavior today, she definitely looks like a giant puppy. Overall she's been very engaged with her training. She's stopped playing with Jack and gotten up from a nap 2x for an allergy alert. She's checking in with me and she's paying more attention to what I'm doing. Our daughter filmed training today then didn't save it... then either me or Odette interrupted training when she tried filming again. So maybe this weekend we can get a training video up. I'm not much for being on camera, but we will see what happens. .
Birthday party for our daughter is this weekend so I'm not sure how posting is going to go

It’s Friday!! Raise your hand if you’re happy?
It’s been a crazy busy week for me and I’m looking forward to kicking back for a hot minute to enjoy some down time before the crazy starts all over again.

Homemade Hot Chocolate
1 cup water
5 teaspoons cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon liquid stevia or 1 ½ teaspoon powdered stevia
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups almond milk
Recommended Essential Oils:
Cinnamon Bark, Lavender, Wild Orange, or Peppermint oil
Heat water, cocoa powder, and sweetener on stove until ingredients are smooth.
Add vanilla and milk and bring to a simmer. Pour into your favorite mug.
Introduce flavor by swirling a toothpick dipped in your favorite essential oil.
Tip: For extra creamy cocoa, replace the water with equal parts milk or almond milk.

We are STARTING right AFTER Thanksgiving to get back on track. To not gain more weight this year. We are going to ENJOY the Holiday Season without GUILT or GAINING while making progress on our health.
We won’t be perfect because that’s not real life but we will be happy. We will be making deposits into our future and we will end this year better than we started.

Wish I had recorded some of today’s workout. I was going lightening fast (in my humble opinion lol) and thank goodness Teddy has gotten used to me running and jumping around. I was able to go full out and not have him get tangled in my feet!
If you have a fur baby or real baby, and you won’t workout because they get in your way? YES the first few workouts may be an adjustment, and you may have to take it slow to move them out of the way, but once you make it a consistent habit they’ll understand that all the moving mommy/daddy is doing is normal! And they’ll either leave you alone or be close to you for support!!
It’s worth the extra effort in the beginning to be able to do your workouts full out later.
