The good and the other parts we really don’t like -the baby rolls when we sit down, or the bags under our eyes, the not so clear skin, or that little bit of cellulite that just WONT go away 🤷🏻♀️ Until we learn to love ALL of it we will never be able to fully accept someone else’s love. Or for that matter, be able to love 💗 them the way they deserve. This doesn’t just mean men, this means children as well. 🧒
So single ladies, mamas and all my sisters let’s come together to LOVE OURSELVES daily! K? 💫 Step one- start with nourishing your body. This can look different for everyone but for me it started with food 🥘. Now go nourish your body with healthy goods. Do this for one week. See how you feel after that and come back to this post to let me know. .

Life will never be 100% perfect. Today has been a crazy emotional roller coaster of a day and I did NOT work out. Which means there’s no #trythismovetuesday

Practice self care!! For me, I love lighting a candle and listening to good music or taking a bath to unwind. My new apartment will have 2 bathtubs so I’m insanely excited that I get to take baths again!!! These are bath soaps that I got for $3 at Marshals and I can’t wait to practice some self care once this move is over.

Then I got real and realized a bite of my kids pancakes and a banana wasn’t helping me feel the best throughout the day and definitely wasn’t helping with the results I wanted so what did I have to lose🤷🏻♀️
Almost a year to the date I drink this on the daily because breakfast has to be quick at the Clarks and if it can give me enough vitamins as 6 salads, it’s a no brainer😜

Chronic pain UPDATE.
In June 2017 I had to quit my dream of becoming a Music Therapist because of incredible pain and loss of functioning of my hands. I still don’t go a day without experiencing it and I’ve spent most of the last 3 years in and out of different treatments. I’ve had a failed surgery to decompress a nerve, I’ve done acupuncture, physio, chiro, cortisone, you name it, I’ve tried it. I’ve found a few things that relieve it but it never goes away.
I know what aggravates it as well and working my upper body without stretching, and even texting, are some of those things. Today is 3 appointments in a row to get me some relief and today is also a day I am frustrated with the pain.
I’m usually pretty positive about it but today I’m just a little grumpy about it. Quitting Music Therapy was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, I got through it, so I can get through this too. 💜
The question I kept asking myself lately; what is my identity? .
I’ve lost sleep 😴 over it, I’ve overthought about it and I’ve felt lost when it comes to this question. .
Well tonight I found the answer and it was CLEAR. .
It’s SIMPLE. It’s something I already knew but didn’t really believe it or “feel it.”
The answer to my identity is that I AM A CHILD OF GOD. 🙏 .
I Literally had this on my affirmation list the other day and didn’t realize this was the only answer I needed. So grateful for the experiences God is giving me and the chains he’s breaking. .
God will speak to us if we listen.
We just have to open our heart ♥️

Fitting in a good sweat sesh can significantly decrease stress levels, improve focus, memory, and thinking skills🤓 This semester I've been sticking to 30 minute workouts to maintain good health and mental sanity despite my crazy schedule.. because ain't nobody got time for mental breakdowns and brain fog💁🏽

I’m often asked what is in my water bottle, & what is in my shaker cup. So here are my magic juice recipes for y’all to copy, if you like.
My @gocontigo water bottle is filled with filtered water (because @yeg.movement.lab is boujee like that), plus a scoop each of @canadianprotein BCAAs, creatine, & glutamine. I drink this during my workout. Sometimes, depending on the workout, I will add a little HBCD (see below) for some extra intra-workout energy.
🔹BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) because, yum - flavored water. Also helps maintain muscle mass, and provides a little intra-workout energy.
🔹creatine helps build lean muscle mass #musclesaresexy
🔹glutamine helps reduce post workout muscle soreness #domstreater Glutamine also supports gut health.
