Telling someone they have body odour is one of the most sensitive conversations ever. You can go from having a happy conversation to ending up with a quarrel. One thing people fail to take note of is “it can be anyone”. Bacteria lives on our skin. No matter how much we bath, they all don’t go away. These bacteria feed on our sweat and that is what causes the offensive smell we call Body Odour.
Anyone can have body odour, it just depends on the care you give to your body. Sometimes when I’ve had a busy day and I know I have sweated a lot, I lift my hands up and try to perceive. If I notice that I’m beginning to smell of sweat, I reduce the way I hang around people.
You can find me sitting alone at this period. But what do we really do when we notice that a friend or loved one has body odour? How do we tell them in a way that it doesn’t hurt them?
