TEASER of the all-new 2019/2020 Bugatti Divo
Bugatti will drop the veils off the Divo at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this Friday, but with a few days left, there’s still time for a few more teasers. Their latest one doesn’t actually show the hypercar; instead, it focuses on the W16 engine’s sounds that appear different from the Chiron. Despite being ready for its world premiere, the Bugatti Divo is still shrouded in mystery. Outside the company, only a few wealthy customers who were given a sneak preview know what it looks like, while nobody can tell whether the engine has been upgraded in terms of performance. Still, with 1,479 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque produced by the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 in the Chiron, it’s not like it needs more power. After all, it’s more than capable of pushing the Molsheim-made hypercar to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds, and up to a top speed in excess of 249 mph. While the Chiron is limited to 500 units, the Divo will be even more exclusive, with only 40 examples to be built, most of which, if not all, have probably already been spoken for. Each one starts at €5 million (equal to $5.72 million), tax excluded, so don’t act surprised when some of them will be listed on the used car market for almost double the price.
