Crispy sticky chilli beef 🥩 🌶 🍯 - 🤤Generally my go to dish at a Chinese, so it’s only right I should make it at 🏠. Love it. •
•300g beef steak - pre cut into strips if available.
•2 spring onions
•1 large red chilli
•1/2 cup honey •1/2 cup soy sauce
•1 heaped tbsp corn flour
•200g basmati rice.
•1tbsp sesame oil
Chop the carrots into thirds and then each third into about 6 small batons. Heat the sesame oil in a wok and add the carrot batons. Pour over half of the honey and half of the soy sauce, stir. De-seed and thinly slice the red chilli and add to the wok, holding back a few slices as garnish. Whilst the carrots cook and soften, take the beef and if not already cut(ask the butcher for stir fry beef), cut into thin strips. Then sprinkle the corn flour over and toss so it’s all covered. Then add the beef to the carrots in the wok and stir. Add the rest of the honey and soy sauce to the beef and mix. Chop up the spring onion add it to the wok, holing back a few slices as garnish, then if your wok has a lid cover it to cook for about 5 minutes. In a separate pan boil the rice. One minute before it’s ready, drain it and quickly return it to the pan and cover with the lid. Give it a shake and let it steam for about 10 minutes - give it a go 🍚 🥩 🌶 🍯 🇨🇳 😃 🤘🏻

Haven’t done one for a while so resurrected it big style with the flavours in this Chinese beef & broccoli! 🥦
Super Zingy with chilli, Sichuan, five spice and garlic this was a top drawer easyyy Friyay supper! A perfect tummy warmer for these dark cold evenings! .
Recipe serves 2 ⬇️⬇️⬇️
2 sirloin steaks, trimmed of fat, sliced thinly (rm temp)
1/2 tsp five spice
1 tsp Sichuan pepper (ground)
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp cornflour
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 small red chilli finely chopped
Couple handfuls tenderstem broccoli
1 small red onion, sliced
Couple handfuls chestnut mushrooms, thickly sliced
1 red pepper
100ml beef stock
2 tbsp oyster sauce
Mix the soy, mirin, five spice, Sichuan, garlic, cornflour and chilli in a bowl. Add the beef strips and marinate for at least 30 mins.
Heat a wok to the highest heat, spray with a little oil and add the beef in small batches and stir fry for a couple of mins so that the strips are well coloured but still pink and tender. Set aside and stir fry the onion, pepper, broccoli and mushrooms on a high heat for a couple of mins then add the stock slowly over a minute or two, stirring. Add the oyster sauce and beef (and any juices) and mix through.

@kingselitesnacks delicious Chilli Beef Biltong getting me through my eye test ❤🤓 (better than 20/20 vision 😎😎) 👁BUT on the off chance there are any opticians reading this, he did show me the photos of the back of my eyes and there are 2 lighter patches. So he prescribes adding leafy green veg to everything I eat !? I did ask what it was but I think he forgot we don't all have a degree in eyes 👀 so yeah.. if anyone knows please let me know, I don't really want to ask Dr.Google 🙄
