This is how you will catch us most of the time posing for a picture. Me holding him-to get him to hold still. Me smiling/laughing at him-to get him to smile. Me saying look that way, look at daddy- while he just looks the other way 🤷🏽♀️😂 #itry
We booked tickets for our whole fam for @glowlangley and this was by far their favourite part. Riding around like crazies on the blowup unicorns and cows.
It was hilarious to watch them. We all laughed uncontrollably at each other as kids yardsaled off of their animal.
Family time is the best time and I sure love getting to create some serious family memories with my crew. *Note: Harvest Glow just announced that they will be staying open until November 3rd so you have extra time to check it out*
The last baby. Everything is felt so much more strongly, every day that goes by feels like a day lost. I savor every expression, furrowed brow and unintentional baby smile. I hear every purr, gurgle, and whimper. I never understood those that fell in love with their newborns right away. After all, you hardly know one another—but I understand now. I fell hard and fast with this one. 13 days deep and might as well be forever. I don’t know how or why it’s different this time around but I fell in love with this little one the moment I saw his tiny body moved from the operating table to the warming station. The first and only thought I had was “My gosh, I’m gonna love him forever”. Shocking coming from a girl that’s overly rational.
With Evander, I hold him more often and cling on longer. Maybe because experience tells me this season of life doesn’t last forever. That he will inevitably grow. He won’t fit in the crook of my arms or be this tiny. The last baby, it’s a beautiful but incredibly bittersweet time. All I can do is enjoy him. And love him. But I got that last bit totally covered. ✨ #inlove#imsoowned
Our reading corner 📚🌿 .
We’ve lived in this apartment for one year now; I assumed we wouldn’t stay here and I was so focused on moving back to Tokyo. However it seems we are here for the foreseeable future (my fingers are still crossed that will change haha). So I never even tried to decorate apart from the bare basics. Finally a year later...I’ve made a start 😂. This is now my favourite corner of the apartment ❤️ Kid’s room is next...
Watching these boys grow over the years has been so rewarding. Halloween is always fun with your first child, seeing it through their eyes, enjoying it all over again. But then when you watch them enjoy it with a sibling, and teach them new things, my heart can not describe the overwhelming excitement. This will be the first year we get to watch all 3 of our boys really understand the season, holidays and excitement together, I’m looking forward to the trick or treating shenanigans to begin! 🕷
⭐️10•12•18⭐️ While I was away from social media, we celebrated one magical year with our Charlie boy! 🎉He’s sweet, quirky, and squishy in all the right places.💕 If you’ve been following me for anytime at all, you know that this kid is rarely caught without a HUGE grin on his face...and it’s simply the best. But it turns out birthdays are just not his thing (swipe to see how utterly disinterested he was with his cake) 🎂 Charlie’s entrance into this world changed our lives in ways we couldn’t imagine. WE LOVE HIM 💙
We had our first parent teacher conferences today. This girl is Crushing kindergarten. I was nervous we put her in too early (with an August birthday she is the youngest in her class), and she has proven me wrong in all the best ways. She is literally number one in her class in reading and knowing letters and sounds. I am beyond proud of her and love love love hearing her read to us. #roryemerson
I have been a bit silent on here recently, life has been busy (isn’t it alwayssss?!) we are in the process of moving and we haven’t packed one box 🙈 and I guess to a point I have been reflecting on why I use Instagram (slightly deep for a Friday morning 😂) but I think it’s just a good thing to do, in life we just do things because that’s what is done, or what we have always done - but it’s so good to take a moment and stop and ask yourself why.
And I guess the answer for me is that it’s a bit of an online journal, I get to look back and remember things I would otherwise forget - I love looking back at what I wrote about Ez at the age that Zion is and seeing that he went through similar stages, I also really do love he community behind Instagram - real moms going through the same things as me!
So here is to posting more again, to building up my digital journal and to connecting with more people 🥂
Sweet Solids! I've got a few of these cuties coming with me to the Fall in Love Maker's Market this Saturday at Sullivan Hall 😍😍 If you're hanging around Surrey this weekend make sure you come by! I'll also have some of @hunterlilydesigns Halloween and Santa Sacks! 🎃🎄
This little man.
He's got more personality than I could have imagined possible at two.
He waves to everyone and says hello (and asks why they didn't wave back if they don't!). He loves to help and is already so independent, always saying "Luca do it"!
I'm so cherishing this time with just him, knowing our family dynamic will be changing soon.
And while I can't wait to see how he his sweetness and silliness translates into big brotherhood, for now, I am soaking up every extra minute I can with him.
Spending extra cuddle time with him in the morning (he always asks me why the baby doesn't talk back to him)...
Scheduling my day to have lunch with him....
Picking him up from school so I get to see his excitement about his projects.....
Involving him in all of my errands, even though it takes so much longer.... Closing out my work day when he wakes up from his afternoon nap so we can spend our "happy hours" together..... There will always be projects to do and goals to accomplish, but he won't always be a two year old madly in love with his mama.

Ein wundervolles Beispiel aus dem Alltag, das zeigt, wie positiv K i n d e r unsere Welt sehen und wie wir von ihnen lernen können.♡
Parts of a spider.
Materials: Black paint, popsicle sticks, recycled paper
Crush the paper to make the spider’s body. Paint the sticks (spider’s legs) with black paint. In #游大姐 ’s words back then, ‘can we really paint with black paint only?’ 😅 often, we realised that the kids’ world is filled with many colours but not black. This activity also helped to consolidate that spiders have 8 legs as the girls were counting along as they pasted/drew the legs 🕷 #diymajorthrowback#diythemehalloween
