When it rains it pours, but at this point I am used to an avalanche of stress it’s my normal, so bring on the suck. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.
Right now my humans are at the amazing @cuvs_stamford with our cat old lady Bibble who is at the end of life and it’s terribly sad. She’s the smallest but strongest cat I’ve ever known. 6 years ago they told us she was so ill that she may not make it through the night but she fought hard and made a FULL recovery! You can checkout the hashtag #bibblewatch to see some of the posts from way back then. She’s about 15 years old and currently getting a blood transfusion to try and stabilize her so we can figure out what is happening. We are hoping for a treatable illness but are well aware that may not be the case. Our real goal is to make sure she is comfortable and if we can keep her comfortable long enough to move into our new house that has a yard she can go outside in and soak in the sunshine. Unfortunately that may never happen :(
I have survived the impact of two major hurricanes (Sandy and Irene) with my humans, Cappy beagleface, and their 5 cats. If you are a pet owner in the path of the hurricane and are waiting to decide whether or not to evacuate please ** SEE THE LINK IN MY PROFILE*** to read a tweet thread of tips on what to do!
How bout we assume of *I* don’t know how to fix myself, you also don’t know how to fix me? Supporting someone is what you do when you can’t fix them, only be there for them. Just assume if *you* heard about a potential solution that I already read about it, tried it, and dealt with it’s failure. #justBeSupportive#depression#anxiety#chronicIllness#supportSystem
