I ALWAYS eat 23578976556888 different flavour's every time I cook. It works.
Thick cut Chuck steak fried in rosemary and butter.
Curried chickpea in a tomato and coconut cream base.
Mashed potato bale with three cheese and spring onion.
Rainy days definitely call for curry dinners ☔️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This photo was actually from awhile ago, but I basically had the same exact thing for dinner tonight - just in a much messier bowl with a way bigger portion cause I did another 10K run today (🎉) and was huuungry 😛 I was inspired by @thehappypear to whip up their chickpea tikka masala recipe (with just a few adjustments), paired it with @mr_organic’s black rice, and it made for the most warming and delicious meal. You can see my dinner bowl reality in my stories, or just appreciate this more aesthetic version 😂 Anyone else go for something comforting and cozy for dinner? 🤗
When your lunch is sorted by @thehappypear’s chickpea curry 😍
I finally got my hands on some of @thehappypear’s vegan goodies and this curry made for such a warming and delicious lunch! It was super flavourful, but not too spicy, and I especially loved the bits of perfectly cooked broccoli 🥦 I added some steamed kale on the side for extra greens, and this bowl was so filling and perfect for the windy weather we’ve been having 💨 Have you tried any of @thehappypear’s products? 🍐 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m off now to help out with youth group at my church, so I think it’s gonna be a pretty crazy Friday night - seriously these kids have so much energy 😋 Have a fabulous rest of your Friday!! 🎉
Here’s the deal with the chickpea curry I always post! #Yum - Packed with nutrition, spices to clear the sinuses and protein. 🍂#autumnrecipes You ready? This is great for a meatless night / lunch and is Oh-So-soothing this time of year (the spices are -buzzword alert- Ayurvedic afterall). My trick is that I use the Food Network recipe for ‘Ree’s chickpea curry’ (Easy to Google) only I make it more vegan (and I promise you won’t regret it as it’s better this way;) The way I do that is this: Simply sub out the honey for agave. I also kick up the sriracha (hot sauce) up to 3 tablespoons instead of two. If you find that yours is two watery after following the recipe and that it won’t reduce to this delicious paste, don’t mess around, just turn the burner off for a minute and drain off any extra broth then simmer again. Don’t be scared. 😎 (You can save it as a soup base). #recipes#foodnetwork#meatlessmonday#meatlessmondays#meatlesseveryday#chickpeacurry#foodnetwork#whatveganseat#plantbased
Hi all! Not much action on here recently as I have been busy getting married and honeymoonin' 😍❤. As you can imagine, there has been a LOT of food (which I will share a few of the best) and not much fitness going on so following the last three weeks of constant treats, we have kicked the post honeymoon balance regain with my husband's (😊) signature homemade chickpea curry (with homemade roti and a glass of fizz because #balance and I'm back to work tomorrow so you gotta combat those post holiday blues somehow). I will also be slowlyyyy trying to get in the mindset of returning to the gym at someeeee point and may potentially possibly start to run again 🙈 (I sound so flaky) so i will hopefully be able to start documenting some of that again. Sorry for the waffly post, just excited to start sharing again! 😁 #foodie#edinburghfoodie#foodies#ukfoodies#healthycooking#homecooking#instafood#foodbloggers#bloggers#fooddiary#chickpeacurry#veggie
Dinner idea for lunch time 😋 one day late but here you have the super easy and super delicious recipe for my chickpea curry! You need canned tomatoes, spinach (I used frozen one), onions, garlic, canned chickpeas, ginger, lime and as spices kumin, turmeric and ground coriander. And of course a pinch of salt, pepper and sugar. First chop and sauté the onions, garlic and the spices in a bit of oil (I use olive oil) then add the tomatos, chickpeas, spinach and whatever you like (I had a zucchini left in the fridge that I also used). Season with lime juice and the rest of the seasoning. Let everything cook for 3 minutes. Done! This is the vegan version. I was also putting some Joghurt in and on top, so not completely vegan. But really good and full of protein and all the good stuff from the veggies and the Indian spices! #vegan#highprotein#chickpeacurry#fitfam#dinner#lunch#dinnerinspo#chickpeas#indianfood#curry#easy#healthyfood#vegetarian#yoghurt#smellssogood#healthyliving#recipe#veganprotein
Guten Abend #fitfam 😊
😍 oh man!
