'Popcorn chicken' from @peppercornskitchen in Evanston, IL
Definitely the first time I've seen this Szechuan dish called popcorn chicken before.
Surprisingly decent version with lots of fragrance. Nice, citrusy mild spice along with a tolerable amount of numbing sensation from the Szechuan peppercorns. The chicken was also cooked really well with a hint of crisp edges and tender meat.
Just wish it was as good as the chicken cartilage dish from Legendary in Alhambra, CA! 😭

😋😋😋You had me at Fettuccine served in a Cheese Wheel. The delicate ribbons of pasta is tossed in fondue cream, speck (similar to Prosciutto but more intense in flavor) and mushrooms. It’s creamy, earthy, and decadent.
P.s. It’s only available on @stefaniprime’s dinner menu.
Checked out the new Food Hall at the @marquis_chicago tonight. Tried everything from the Boujee Elvis sandwich (Bourbon Marshmellow fluff, Foie Grass toasted banana and peanut butter on a brioche) to the caramelized pizza to the boozy pop tarts and am already ready to go back for more. The food hall is located right near @mccormickplace, so if you ever have a conference down there or find yourself in the South Loop it is a great spot to go for lunch or dinner!

Thinking about this awesome day when I was finally able to try this amazing whisky. I ❤️cider so I knew I would love this. I had to take a moment after my first sip. 🤤 It is not overly sweet, very clean but clearly has an apple flavor. Very different from anything else🤯I love whisky and I love cider so it was my perfect dream 🤗 thanks @vadistillery for making this happen
Media preview at @brassheartchicago tonight showed a lot of promise. Chef Matt Kerney has some incredible flavors playing, and pastry chef Shawn Anderson is making science pretty sweet. This cherry and matsutake truffle was a beautiful treat.
