When you go to New York you’re pretty much impressed by the skyscrapers and the architecture in general. Well, Chicago is even better: here famous architects have come from all over the world to build exceptional buildings. These are “just” some million dollars worth houses.
UP IN THE CLOUDS - 103 stories up on the @skydeckchicago you can step out onto “The Ledge”, a glass enclosed box in the sky. It can be pretty scary to step out on the glass and look down 1353 feet to the street below. However when I visited yesterday morning with @CityPASS, we could only see the clouds. It actually made it a lot easier to step out onto The Ledge and I still really enjoyed the experience.
With @citypass you can take the Fast Pass lane and beat the crowds but I would still suggest going early. Next time I’ll try it at night. The Ledge faces west and gets great sunset views. From the other side of the Skydeck in the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower you can see straight across the city to Lake Michigan.
